Liberty Stadium Wednesday 1900 hrs
Bournemouth seemed quite happy to settle for a point, while perhaps hoping to nick it at the end. Having watched the whole game on Ifollow yesterday Forest were not out played and had the better half chances, Murray's glancing header only kept out by a defenders knee and luck.
Swansea will be a different proposition, their last game was postponed due to a frozen pitch; apart from drawing with Brentford and a 1-3 in the Fifth Round against Man City the Swans have been in awesome form. As we discovered when they demolished us 5-1. That may well have been a good thing as it persuaded those in charge at the City Ground that drastic action was required and the micky mouse recruitment policy had to end.
Swansea will be looking to win and handsomely at that, to match Brentford's G/D.
It will be interesting to see if Murray starts again after playing two games in 7 day's.
Gaining a point on Wednesday will be far harder than it was against Bournemouth.

"Ooooo RFB - delete him"
"OK, Rev - anything you say, lick, lick, let me get this brown stuff off my nose first"
"Good boy RFB"

How old are you?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Can,
'Bout the same age as RFB (actually a lot younger) - trouble is context is all and if you went with the context, you'd understand that RFB is the kind of poster that is so enthralled to Rev, he follows his every request.

Just seemed a bit much!

Tonight reminded of Derby away at the end of last season, in almost total control for the vast majority of the game, then switch off right at the end, yes Derby we still got a point, but like tonight we had more than enough chances to be out of sight and again through a lack of concentration it has ended up costing us. And finally, I still don’t understand why CH tinkered with the defence when it wasn’t needed.

Going by performances over the last 12 games, only 2 losses - we’ll be fine this season if we can keep up
With the same attitude and cut out the silly mistakes
Next season, if we’re still in this league, I’m going for automatics

He didn't think his attackers were likely to score so Grabban played as a true 7 for most of the game. We have too many crocked out of form players.

That does alarm me. Seemingly poor judgment from the manager. Or is it.

Taylor is 30, Grabban is 33, Murray is 37. All too old really. Two of them should go in the summer.
We need strikers who are younger, quicker, hungrier.
Mighten shoukd be playing more, although I am very unsure that he will make it. To be honest he doesn't seem any more likely to succeed at Championship level than Brereton or Walker. But he deserves a chance to prove me wrong.

Red, I’d be surprised if Murray got any more than a one year deal, though unfortunately he is the best of the three, no idea what’s gone wrong for Grabban, maybe being captain is too much of a burden, Taylor has yet to prove himself. We have Brennan Johnson to come back, but having got rid of the likes of Walker, Grant, Brereton and Appiah, albeit for good money for the last two, the future for Johnson and Mighten doesn’t look bright, not that I don’t rate them, it’s the club policy that concerns me. We created some golden chances last night but had no one on the end of them which was very disappointing. Grabban was playing the role that was required for him, not by him, his decision making also left a lot to be desired when we were through 3 on 1. CH has got the team performing, but mainly through loaners, how many of them will be there next season?? Another major drawback is lack of goals from midfield, hence if the forwards aren’t scoring we are always susceptible to being suckered like last night. All is not doom and gloom but CH still has a massive challenge ahead if he is going to get us anywhere near top 6 next season. I am sure there are several teams worse than us, but what worries me is after losing only 2 from 12 we are still only 5 points above the drop zone, just shows there is no way we can take our foot off the gas.
After Blackburn we need a minimum of 5 from 9 from the next three, plus at least a point on Saturday.

I you were watching on Ifollow you will know that late on Hughton changed tactic's and Grabban had a run down the middle.
I think we were three on two at one point.
I was expecting Grabban to inject a burst of pace, but he didn't, just misskicked the ball & looked like his left knee was troubling him.
I think we should persevere with Murray, when he's fit to play and form a partnership with Taylor, who needs to build confidence.
Another combination would be to play Mighten & Krovinovic just behind either Taylor or Murray.
We need to get Mighten into more games and find him some space to run at defenders.

Should read 'if you'.

Don't think Murray should be offered a contract next season.
Where do Posh keep finding their strikers? Clarke--Harris topping the scorers chart in League 1; go for him or Jephcott, or Wyke. or all three; one of them might make it at the higher level.
No; we'll let Brentford nip in and sign them.
