Doesn't exactly bode well for the players currently competing for that spot.
No secret...Callum is the absolute BEST at forging partnerships & an all-round phenomenon that will probably end up in the middle further along his career.
Mendy
AC Silva Rudi/Azpi
RJ Gilmour Kante Hudson-Odoi
Mount Kai/Pulisic
Tammy

Tammy been on the receiving end of rather rough (unfair) treatment. Doesn't sit well with me.
That whole team has the potential to dovetail and complement supremely well.
Partnerships need to start developing all over the pitch more than anything else.
The Tammy - Kai was promising but short-lived, need to rediscover that telepathic connection. Another one that should it get going again, will be the beginnings of something special.
Make it happen Tuchel (sooner rather than later)!
Did think about Reece at Right CB, but Tuchel seems unwilling to play him there at the moment...either way both AC & Reece are better options than Azpi in that position going forward.
We'd be more dynamic and cohesive in our passing and general play with them in that role.
The general possession play suffers significantly with certain players in the side.
Callum on the left, GRAND idea Tuchel...!

COLOSSAL. Christensen!
100% effortless stupendousness defender in every department, second to none. Stonking.
First name on the team-sheet.
This is his time and grabbed it with both hands. Undroppable!
In reality...Hasn't had any bad games this season.
In fact quite the opposite has had a thoroughly solid season, unfortunate to have been out of the side for as long as he was.

TT needs to stop wasting a sub on Cho each game. Looks our most threatening player most games yet it taken off whilst others who are having a stinker remain on the pitch.
Wouldn’t mind seeing him on the left. Atm every attack goes down our right. Would give Werner/Pulisic more space.
Not sure about Chris at RCB. Azpi is too good in that position. Knows when to get forward and put crosses in. Never seen Chris put a cross in his whole career.

I thought it was a tactical change to stop Rashford.

The onus is on whoever plays right wing-back to deliver crosses.
Even If AC is tasked with crossing from Right CB, capable of delivering.
One and only assist in his time at Germany came from a cross and
I recall his sub debut under Conte playing as a wing-back (when Cahill got ).
Made a nice movement beyond the last-line of defence and played a beauty of a cross-shot which Morata scored (ruled offside).
Predominant duties at Right CB will be building out from the back, dynamic passes through the lines (initiating attacks), switching play, stepping into midfield, and decoy movements in final third.
To my mind...far better equipped doing that than Azpi at this stage.
That's what the role entails under Tuchel.
Differs to Conte' system, when Azpi would step into midfield and whip crosses into the striker (Morata).
Tuchel already experimented with AC at Right CB in the FA CUP, which might have been a sign of things to come in league matches.
The pitch conditions that day were never conducive to slick passing.

There's also that...lack of mobility. Legs have gone.
Seen that happen on many occasions this season.
