Manchester City have no new injury concerns for the visit of Wolves, with squad rotation expected.

Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling, Joao Cancelo and Aymeric Laporte could all return after being rested for the win over West Ham.

Wolves will select from the same squad that drew at Newcastle United.

Willy Boly is back in training but is still unavailable, along with Daniel Podence, Raul Jimenez and Fernando Marcal.

Manchester City have won 13 of the 14 Premier League games John Stones and Ruben Dias have started this season (D1), conceding just three goals in the process
MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

Wolves have won seven points against Manchester City since returning to the Premier League in 2018-19, the joint-best record of any team during that period.
Their 2-0 victory at the Etihad last season means they can win back-to-back top-flight away games against City for the first time since 1960.
Manchester City

Manchester City's win over West Ham United extended their record winning run to 20 games.
They are one of just three teams in the top five European leagues to record a run of 20 or more consecutive victories, after Bayern Munich (23 in 2020) and Real Madrid (22 in 2014).
City have claimed 14 consecutive Premier League wins - no other side has won more than four in a row this season.
They can equal Arsenal's Premier League record of 19 consecutive games without trailing at any point, set between December 1998 and May 1999.
City are just one short of the club record unbeaten run of 28 games in all competitions.
Pep Guardiola has now won 200 of his 273 games as City manager. He has reached the landmark in fewer matches than any other manager of an English top-flight side.
Ederson has kept 15 clean sheets in the Premier League, conceding just 15 goals in total.
Wolves

Wolves' draw at Newcastle United stretched their unbeaten run to five Premier League games.
However, they have triumphed in just one of their last eight Premier League away matches (D3, L4),
They have claimed 20 points from losing positions - only Manchester United have a better record.
Wolves have not beaten the league leaders in a top-flight away game since a 1-0 triumph at Liverpool in 1984.
Forward Pedro Neto's five goals and five assists this season mean he has been directly involved in at least four more goals than any other Wolves player.

the other issue is possibly

I watched a programme and I can't remember what it is was, but they were saying the optimum cycles for management were 3-5 years as any longer and the players get bored of listening to the same voices and the impact lessens, If Nuno goes we lose his backroom staff as well, its a total overhaul
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We have already seen this first hand with the McCarthy era. The players downed tools on him and didn't pick them back up for TC, a guy they apparently loved and respected.

No point keeping a manager, player or member of staff if THEY don't want to stay.

Plenty of point in letting them know how respected they are if they're in doubt,

You weren’t talking about letting them know they are respected though. You recommended begging them to stay, like a grovelling little girlie, wet pants.

FFS, grow a pair.

We certainly don’t need to beg Nuno to stay but then I don’t think he’d be easy to replace if he did want to leave. He’s one of the best managers the club have ever had so there’s nothing to suggest we will just go out and find someone as good or better to replace him.

A lot of people wanted McCarthy to leave and thought we would easily find someone better. Three managers later we had gone through two relegations. I suspect if Nuno left then things would get a lot worse before they got better. And though there’s some that seem to think mid table in the premier league represents average or disappointing, I suspect that would quickly turn into dreamland again

Regardless of what the fans think the club will want more than mid table finishes. Fosun have been quite clear about their ambitions.

Don't think anyone will shat the bed over a disappointing mid table finish this season but if that is the case again next season then things will be looked at differently.

I do think that Fosun have lowered their ambitions somewhat over the last 18 months, certainly from the big statements they were coming out with three years ago anyway.

The last three windows have been very disappointing and we haven’t moved forward at all with squad development. Is the starting eleven today any better than in our first Prem season? I don’t think so.

Yeah agree with that, they have certainly back tracked a little and don't forget last year they put out messages asking for new investment.

And agreed, our squad may be a little deeper but overall the first eleven isn't really any better and a fair argument to suggest it is weaker when you consider the loss of Bennett, Jota and Doc.

The Solbakken/ Saunders/ Jackett/ Zenga/ Lambert experiences have value in that they make us appreciate what we've had, and have, since then with Nuno.
