MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head
West Ham are winless in their past seven home games against Leeds (D4, L3).
The Hammers are looking to complete their first league double over Leeds since 1953-54, and their first top-flight league double since 1929-30.
This is their 100th league meeting.

West Ham United
West Ham have won four of their past five home league matches.
Only Manchester City have earned more more Premier League points than West Ham's 22 in 2021.
The Hammers are vying to win three consecutive home league games for the first time since March 2019.
West Ham's last 10 goals at London Stadium in all competitions have been scored by 10 different players, including an own goal.
Michail Antonio has been directly involved in 19 goals in his past 22 Premier League starts for West Ham, with 15 goals and four assists - but he has never scored in eight league appearances against Leeds.

Leeds United
Leeds have lost three of their past four league games and could lose a third consecutive away match in the top flight.
Only two of their 26 league matches this season have ended in a draw (W11, L13).
Leeds have lost 12 of their last 13 fixtures in London in all competitions, losing all four in the capital in the Premier League this season.
Marcelo Bielsa's side have failed to score in just two of their 13 away games in this season's Premier League.
Raphinha has been directly involved in eight goals in nine away Premier League starts, with three goals and five assists.

So a tough game against Moyes boys who have been pretty consistent, but if we get a couple of our injured players back I can see us upsetting them and getting a rare win in the Capital, unleash Raphinha and hopefully Rodrigo on them ...........Faithful 1-2 for me with Raph and Paddy

I thought we were very good, just not quite as good as W Ham, unfortunately. It was an exciting match. I wouldn't single any of our lads out for slating, Costa and Roberts included. Some passes went astray, as did some of West Ham's. Paddy should've scored, Jack Harrison was a bit wasteful. Thought Stuart Dallas was excellent overall. Rotten luck with the penalty and the free-kick that led to a corner that they scored from was won by a dive imho. We certainly gave them a game.

Cheers Highland and all.

Just a soft touch at both ends of the pitch, better side for long periods. As so often first goal is critical. Feels like we gift wrapped it.

West Ham got lucky as hell today with the offside and then scoring a rebound from a pen.

They are good at set pieces. But we created 4 good chances against them. Don't think they defended all that well, just sat back once they had the lead

Too many hard luck stories from us. If we cannot defend set pieces better or take good chances when we create them then we are in trouble

True. The team that scores more is the team that deserves to win. West Ham deserved to win. End of.

Apart from a twenty minute spell in first half we were the better team really.

A decent team wouldn't have conceded goals like that, thats the problem

I never really rated Moyes, but he’s got WH playing better than they have for years. He’s never lost a game against Leeds no matter which team he has managed. Sometimes you can’t beat what is meant to be. One day the London curse will end. Hopefully it ‘s when we play Fulham! We really need to win that one.

I think it is worth stressing that West Ham are just very good at set pieces. Not only do they have aerial presences in abandon, but they also have a quality deliverer of the ball in Cresswell.

Should be more alert for the first goal, but its a really nice ball into a dangerous area. Penalty comes about from naive defending from Ayling.

Better in the second half, but damage was done in the first. Need to get out of the blocks better, because we are getting into a habit of improving after the game has already been lost.
