Another very disappointing show today and quite clearly something has to change, whether it be drastic or not, but, having watched Keita's performance today and Jones' throughout the season, do people think it is worthwhile to give Keita and Jones a chance in the midfield 3 for the remainder of the season? The team being:
Alisson
TAA Kabak/Phillips Fabinho Robertson
Keita Thiago Jones
Salah Firmino/Jota Mane
That would be my line up.
I feel that both Keita and Jones give more of a goal threat from the central midfield area as number 8's and can help break the lines of midfield and break into the box, making it so that when TAA and Robertson do push on, there can be the usual front 3 + Keita and Jones filling the box, creating extra numbers and hopefully more goals. Keita has a good ability with the ball, he can take it past a couple of players and is brave with his passing and Jones is also a goal threat himself and certainly a willing runner in the box so I think it might give a different dynamic to the team that will help the forward players and the team get goals.
Of course, the team would be highly vulnerable on the counter attack, especially in the wide areas with 2 midfielders and the full backs pushing on, but is it worth the risk at this stage anyway with the domestic season only going backwards? I also know that it's unlikely to happen because Keita will end up injured again at some point I'm assuming.
I just wanted to gather some thoughts on the idea.
What now for the remainder of the season?

I think Liverpool will make at least the final of CL. European style won’t be too problematic.

This experiment of putting our best mf into defencs has to end. Bith philips and Williams today did ok imo.
Soon as fab came into mid you saw us starting to win the midfield battle.
For me fab has to to into mid with wij and jones or keita
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Phillips and Williams are not good enough together. Phillips can defend but positionally can get caught out and steps in at the wrong times, Williams ultimately won't be good enough.
Wijnaldum is far too slow with the ball, he needs 4 touches just to pass the ball.

We continue to lose regularly until the end of the season, VVD and Henderson return for the final of the CL, we go to Istanbul, we win the CL, Everton finish 4th, we then have a big feck off parade with the CL trophy, because all restrictions are also suddenly lifted, and we all have a jolly old laugh at a bizarre season.
I imagine the reality will be somewhat different though

Yrs they are But it is not like we are winning with fab at the back. At least lets dominate teams again. Maybe philips and kabak for extra pace.

for the "remainder of the season"??
the team will have to be determined by who trust who.
Robertson has managed i nthe last two games to play teams onside 3 times. he doesn't trust the cbs so he's in behind acting the idiot sweeping up. This is just one example of lack of team work.
this is what has to stop. nothing esle. whoever plays they have to get into patterns of play and work a lot hard and push a lot more to overlap and create real chances.
Its absolutel rubbish what is going on.

It gets frustrating listening to a lot of the nonsense on social media and sky.
You can have the best mentality in the world but be bottom of the conference. Its mentality plus talent. At the moment we are lacking some talent and some mentality due to various factors.
To answer all of the bs its easy to say wed either be top or 2nd with our first choice 11 available from start of season to now. All the rest is absolute nonsense. We had 3 guys at the back today whom are currently no better than league 1 level.
We won the league because we had our strongest team available most weeks. The squad was never the best to cope with massive injuries..we all knew this

True.
The only thing that disappointed me today was zero pressing from Jota.
Systemic issues exist and imo unless every first team player blows off internationals and we have a 2 week camp to really work the systems we are at nothing.
BTW I think we spend too much time in the gym and on rondos. Yet out on the pitch and relearn to press up.

That midfield would get overrun, not one of those players can win a tackle. They are all the exact same style of player, which leads to the crux of our problems

Keita Fabinho Thiago for me in midfield.
Conceding isn't the problem. Having a non existent midfield and off form strikers is.
Phillips and Kabak in defence with Trent and Robbo, that midfield and then Salah, Jota and one of Mane or Shaq up top.
