Back on the road again as play off chasing or automatic promotion chasing or even title chasing Bolton depending on how full your glass is take on old foes port vale at vale park. Ian evatt has won manager of the month but what happened after that last time? Beaten 6-3 at the unibol in December. Things haven't gone so well for port vale since then. John askey has left as manager and been replaced by Darrell clarke in a structural overall of the club overseen by old Bolton number 2 david Flitcroft. Currently 21st in the league 6 points above the relegation zone with no wins in 7. Compare that to Boltons run of 8 wins and 2 draws. Memorable encounters from the past when we were both rivals for that 2nd promotion slot in 1993 and more recently when promoted in 16/17 that incredibly tense fixture with 2 games to go when Bolton won 2-0. Will never forget that celebration when wheater scored. Team news. Politic and Edwards still out long term and in the small print seen elbouzedi is out injured.

All rather tickety boo wasn't it.
Just one game tonight to check on then it'll be over to IE and the boys to keep on winning come Saturday.

Benny is right of course, if we continue winning our games no team can stop us. However with the games in hand that other teams have against us, its always good if the results go our way.
Tonight's game is Grimsby V Tranmere, What I would give for a Grimsby win. It's not likely but a couple of unlikely wins for the underdogs occurred last night so I live in hope.

Tranmere only drew 0-0 at grimsby so a good midweek around. Just keep on winning lads.

Grimsby V Tranmere a nice 0-0
We can't be taking Saturday lightly if we are to take advantage we have to keep on winning.

No, we can't Pasty. I hope that Evatt doesn't make too many changes. We know for sure that he will have to make one change but we have a strong bench so hopefully, after a midweek rest, he should be able to keep a settled team.
Tranmere 0-0 was a good result, let's hope that a few teams at the top are feeling the pressure and also are getting fatigued playing two games a week.

Time for Maddison to shine by that I don't mean shine by wearing a headband with flashing lights on it. Boots with lights would be fine if everything is on target and he scores a few.

Bad news regarding the Skipper.
ANTONI Sarcevic stands to miss “several weeks” of action for Wanderers after scans revealed a tear in his hamstring is worse than first feared.
It had been hoped within the Bolton camp that the club captain would only miss a couple of games after limping out of Saturday’s 1-0 win at Port Vale.
But Ian Evatt has confirmed this afternoon that a further examination into the problem has revealed more damage – and that the 29-year-old stands to miss a significant amount of time.
My guess is that he's finished for the season unless someone is playing games and this message is meant for opposition managers which I doubt.

Got plenty of cover in sarcevic position, delfounso ideal replacement who has been pushed wide to accommodate sarcevic who I reckon slows the side down. Could be worse. Losing any of Santos , Williams, doyle to injury would be massive blows. Got players to come in but they are the 3 irreplaceable players for me.

The players returned to training yesterday and Evatt says the players were tremendous. Hopefully, that will translate into another good show tomorrow and another three points.
I'm going for another win. Once again I won't predict a scoreline but I'm hoping for more than two goals from our team. In God and Bolton Wanderers we trust.
