Just watched the game on delay. That opening was blistering. Cranked the post, sliced a few but DOMINATES and looked threatening. The only downside side was we did not work Lloris AT ALL. That has to be concerning because yes, we deserved to take the lead early and if the two shots from ESR and Cedric had been 4 inches towards the target, Lloris had no chance. But I can't remember him making any saves where I though wow...he kept them in it.
When they scored,I thought "here we go again". Dominate, miss chances, conceded. And fantastic goal it was too. However, kudos to the team. Tierney is my favourite player at the club. When Auba leaves, hand him the armband. Odegaard capped his best performance with a goal and the penalty saved Laca's blushes as he had a nightmare in front of goal. He did everything else right but his finishing was poor. If he had the finishing of Auba, he'd be a top player. Gabriel and Luiz played 9/10 today and look a great partnership.
All in all the team performed today. Leno needs to command his box better to relieve pressure on his defense. Only bad things were how tired we got in the last 15 mins. And here is where Arteta failed. I am Arteta out still, BUT will say he got his lineup and tactics spot on today. We looked poised and menacing while pretty solid. But the red card...gah. I expected us to dominate. And to sit the last 15 mins as nervous as I was, is criminal. Why Martinelli did not come on instead of Willian is baffling. Willian retains the ball but we were playing a man up...run at them, cause issues. We needed an outlet for a counter. But ok..forget willian...taking Laca off and not putting a striker on was stupidity at its finest. We looked like WE were playing with 10 men. Partey was exhausted and Elneny would have been the perfect replacement. Laca looked tired too but we needed a striker on there if he was coming off. And that is where Arteta failed. We made this game much harder than it needed to be. Even though I am Arteta out, I would love it if he proved me wrong. 3 points are always welcome and 3 points against them lot is even sweeter. Hoping we can rotate a bit for Thursday (do we not have anyone who can step in for Tierney for that game) and still get a win.
The good and the not so good

I’m right on the NH MA border
Ever been to Bissell Brothers brewery up in Portland?
They’ve got a Spurs supporting brewer who’s pinned a scarf to the wall in the taproom.
Kinda taints the experience

Not been there. Used to go to Coat of Arms in Portsmouth before they closed.Thirsty Moose is also a place I'd go to with friends for games (Portsmouth or Dover)!

There’s a Thirsty Moose just up the road from me in Exeter. Didn’t realize they would show matches
Very familiar with Dover due to the Children's museum and also it’s the only place in NE with an Indonesian restaurant.
Was actually up there on Saturday before I stopped by at Stoneface to do a wee curbside beer pick up.
Seems I’m right on your doorstep
