He's been more than a competent player since his arrival.

He does get the usual bollox from contributors that know zilch about the game though.

Usually as a scapegoat for the real deadbeats.

He adds pace to the right hand side, in a way he compliments the way AWB goes forward. But nowadays attacking players need to have more to their game than James has. James will run forward with the ball really fast, and clearly follow OGS instructions to a tee in hammering the ball into the centre of the box in this game for example.. but the reality is, he offers no creativity. I think he gets picked and starts games at the moment because he's following instructions, which is great. But like Antonio Valencia, there's more to football than just following instructions

I think he’s a decent player. His decision making is lacking, but that will come hopefully. I think he’ll make a good impact player.

The type of player managers will always like. Works his asss off and is a fairly intelligent player off the ball. On it he is complete shīt though of course

Most top teams now probably get more attacking threat from their right back than we do from James as a right winger. Couple that with AWB and it's a fackin shiiiitshow on that side of the field for us going forward.

The sort of thing that only a British will say. No wonder we have won sweet all in years. Tell that to the greatest manager of this era, Pep Guardiola. Working hard and being technically woeful like Dan James gets a team no where. The problem we have is, this team is full of players that lack technical ability. Look at Pogba when he came on yesterday, head and shoulders above anyone on that team.

I think Pogba is quality, but it's not like he comes on a makes that impact in most games. That's why everyone gets frustrated on here with him.

As for James, he was pretty good last night. He didn't set the world alight, but squad players rarely do. That's why they are squad players.

It is surprising that we win an away leg in Milan, and some supporters seem unable to say anything good about the team they support.
If it was Thursday say and the discussion starts about the weekend team, fair enough.
But immediately after the win, we'll it beats me.
