To attack the game, to score one goal, as soon as we can to make the game easier"
Lloris’ words regarding mourinho
Tottenham fans need to wake up and smell the furrrking coffee. This isn’t on mourinho, it’s on the players
Ps this isn’t on the Tottenham board so as far as I’m concerned Tottenham fans have no right to complain to get my article removed, like what happened last night
“The message from the manager was clear

Maybe Mourinho, having managed some of the best players in the world in the past, thinks that if a player doesn't respond to his methods then they probably aren't worth his time. If what was good enough for Frank Lampard isn't good enough for Dele Alli, then why should Mourinho bother with Dele Alli. He's not worth the effort.

Football moves on, Lampard and Alli are a generation apart. Maybe what worked for Lampard 15 years ago doesn't work no more? Time has moved on, football has changed since then.
If they aren't worth his time, he needs to get rid. I'm sure there are plenty of suitors for Alli, he won't be short of options, just get rid of him, why is he keeping hold of him?
I have said Mourinho may stay and will need to get a group of players that will play under him. But there's no doubt that some of those players there right now don't play for him, evidenced by last night's result. That isn't an example of good management.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm sure he'd love to get rid of Alli.
But I agree, he needs to build his own squad. This isn't a Mourinho team and all of the best Mourinho teams have had at least 5-6 Mourinho signings as first team regulars. I don't understand why people demand some managers be given time yet less than two year since Mourinho took over and some want him fried.

Well no, you literally asked why should he bother.
The answer is his £15,000,000 per annum salary.
It's pretty clear Jose's cant be bothered attitude that you've just highlighted has been passed onto the players.

Perhaps the players attitudes towards playing for a manager are somewhat influenced by the managers attitude to the players themselves, the club he works for and the day to day interactions or lack of them.
There is a history of Mourinho leaving clubs because of the toxic atmosphere he has been the cause of that Wahl seems to refuse to believe.

You also have to balance that with what's happening right now. What happens if Spurs can't afford to give Mourinho the 5/6 signings he would want?
He wanted the Inter Milan CB in the summer, he ended up with Joe Rodon instead. I don't think Spurs will be as happy to go and spend like United and Chelsea did for him, this could be 3/4 seasons yet whereas that wasn't the case at United or Chelsea.
I think Mourinho could do it, but I also think looking at the situation now, it's going to take too much time and too many years of mediocrity until Spurs get to that point and he may even leave himself before that happens. It's only going one way for Spurs at the moment.

Bro, this is Spurs and tightwad levy, not Man City. - he's not gonna be given the money to buy the best players in the market if the ones he has aren't good enough for him - why do you think he could only sign the wrong Fernandes?
But I agree..jose needs to be given time at Spurs. Give him 20 years

You know hindsight is 20/20 isnt it but with Lloris clearly being able to do as the manager asks Jose probably should have to him not to let any goals in and then they be in the next round.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe Lloris should take over as manager?

The is a good point. I mean Levy told Jose to win and because he's got such a fvuuuuuurrrrrking terrible level of professionalism he didn't do it.

You're missing the point on purpose to be a nob. Mourinho told the players that they had a job to do to finish the tie and Lloris has said that this message was clear. But the attitude of the players show they didn't take the message seriously and that was why they lost.
It could not be more clear. Lloris spelled it out in his interview, Mourinho spelled it out in his interview, it was there all over the perfomances of those tottenham players. But people want to view everything black and white (apart from averagefan to be fair, he did look at it from both ways) and just put everything on Mourinho.
