I have no doubt he belongs to Arsenal, throw all the money to sign him. Our fans already loves him so much, plenty to his game and potential for improvement.
He has control in his game just like Saka we need more of his likes in the summer.
PS: Send Ceballos back no thanks average
Odegaard - we need to keep him

Completely agree with OP. He looked a class above from his first game. We need this type of player,he knows which goal to aim for, many of our players don't!

Ceballos has been disappointing, he has not developed as I had hoped, whilst he has qualities it seems to me that he lacks pace, is too easily knocked off the ball and doesn’t seem to have the presence or mobility that we need.
I like Odegaard a LOT, if he is able to become more clinical in front of goal he will become special - but I still think the best we will be able to do is one more year on loan before he is called back. 😐

If I were Ødegaard I'd be looking to spend a few years at a club like Arsenal before thinking of joining one of the mega giants at 26/27. It'll do him no good to continue to fail to get games at Real Madrid, or find himself shunted out of the frame to accommodate the latest flavour of the month.
He fits us really well on a personal and professional level. We can offer him the platform he needs to become top class.

Think there's plenty of teams more primed for immediate success than Arsenal where he would be a regular starter over the next few years. A Zidaneless Real Madrid is probably among them.
Not saying you won't get him, just imagine the fee to get him permanently would probably be quite sizeable.

There are, but he's 22. Chasing early success often sees careers over by 26. Best to go to those sides in your prime, rather than rot on the bench.

But there's going to be teams with a chance of winning their domestic leagues where he's going to start as much as he will do for you, and, with all the best will in the world, Arsenal are nowhere near domestic league success at the moment. He'd probably start for all of AC, Inter, if Juve for instance, and probably for Real Madrid minus Zidane, as well.
Realistically, there's going to be better offers out there. He would be a wonderful permanent signing for Arsenal, just not convinced you'd get him. Suppose the next six months will determine that. A EL win and your chances would shoot up.

I don't see any reason why we can't keep him obviously just depends on the fee. We are still a very attractive proposition for players. Take Partey for example when he was available and given his pedigree he still chose to come to us when he could of gone to any other top club in Europe.
We will see how he does for the rest of the season but he seems very promising.

A second loan would be a good option imo we don’t have lots to spend and need players in a few positions at a minimum

He’s impressed me more that ceballos did when he first came, and I did think ceballos had a good start, but odegaard does seem to be a level above. I think he’d be up for staying, he wants to play more and I think Madrid will be looking for a higher level than him, so he’ll just be a squad player if he goes back. Like others have said, it’d be sensible for him career wise if he stays somewhere like Arsenal for few years then move on if he’s good enough, rather than have another bit part year at Madrid.
We need a player like him, so if he proves good enough I’d rather spend big on him than big money on a player from abroad who doesn’t know the club, and needs 6 months to settle in
With ceballos overall he just seems a decent squad player. If he was cheap you might sign him, but really it’s him or Elneny, don’t think we should have both

Ceballos has been with us for 2 seasons now and is still not a regular first team starter.
Very weak on the ball nd has become very clumsy on the ball

We got lucky as hell with Partey. Only reason we were able to close that deal is because all of the likely suspects to financially muscle him off us were all covered at DM already. Nobody was that desperate for an upgrade.
People might as well prepare to say goodbye to Odegaard now. Just going to turn into another piece of Arteta bad business. Not securing an option to buy was just plain dumb. When Odegaard finishes doing well all season, either Zidane will decide to give him his shot or City will go buy him. FORGET Arsenal signing him, Arteta was too stupid to set the loan up right and ke is way too much of a tightwad to shell out for Odegaard's fee anyway. Come on lads, ya should know better than to set yourselves up for disappointment.
