Tomorrow

What do we reckon lads.
First of all will either side or fans be too disappointed with a loss.
Leicester want top 4, so do we plus the Europa.
Cards on the table, I prefer the cup to the Europa, so hope and think we will win.
Plus as the games are ticked off there is less congestion, also I think the players will get more up for it now than the earlier rounds.
So come on United.

I can’t see anyone else stopping city from winning the cup so we have to win tomorrow and then make sure that happens!

No one think that the europa would be more desirable for any future signings?

Just think it's something that maybe more likely to get a worldwide (or certainly Europe wide) audience. And maybe more attractive to players looking to move to a bigger club?

I love the FA cup too but it's maybe not as recognisable abroad, being a local competition?

We need to go for both though and winning both would be great for our players to create a winning mentality.

I don't think it really makes a big difference. I can't think of any Europa League winners who have significantly strengthened off the back of winning it. Champions League football, which can be achieved without winning EL, financial prowess and to a lesser extent history of the club will always be the key factors for prospective signings.

Regardless, Ed, Judge et al will mess up the window, no matter how much money we have and who wants to come to us. Their incompetence makes any attraction from an EL win moot

I'm worried for tomorrow. Leicester had week to prepare and we had a tough game in Milan.

At start of the week I said we'd get through in one competition and not the other but I didn't know which.

Hopefully the positivity from Milan can carry us through however I think Leicester have to be favs in this situation.

Bookmarked, as I have a feeling about your posts after tomorrow's game

Yeah I was just wondering/asking the question really.

I just think maybe the EL has a bigger audience than the FA cup.

I always see it as a way of showcasing players who aren't the elite, yet, but may catch the eye in terms of potential and maybe it's served some clubs in making money from players who have looked decent.

Yeah tbf there is likely some truth in that. Sevilla have won it numerous times, but have often lost their best players. Drogba came to the fore in the Europa League with Marseille too I think.

Sorry if my precious comment came across a bit aggressively. Was more it got me thinking of our shambolic transfer business 🤣

Hopefully strong lineups from both sides. It's the FA cup, that used to mean something.

Totally agree.

Drogba played in both the CL and UEFA cup in his single season at Marseille, was great in both.

I’d much rather win Europa than the FA Cup, especially without fans.

However it would be nice to have a good go at both, and if we can beat city in the cup it would be wonderful.

Let's go for both. Strong team today please.

Our next three league games are Brighton, Spurs and Burnley. Get 7-9 points there and I'd say we're nearly there top 4 wise then we can concentrate on the cups a bit more.
