cancelled again this Year. A £5,000 fine for anyone in England trying to travel abroad without good reason is due to come into force next week as part of new coronavirus laws.
Apparently this rule will stay in place until at least 30th June, 2021. Looks like the goalposts have been moved again. Under the current plan for easing restrictions, the earliest date people in England could go abroad for a holiday would be 17 May.
Vaccine or no vaccine, looks like it is going to be another tough year. Hopefully at least we may be able to move about a bit more freely in the UK though.
I personally will not be booking any holidays this year, but may get a few day trips in, which would at least be something.
Which begs the questions of if nobody is going to be able to take any foreign holidays until the end of June, how are spectators going to be allowed back into football stadiums anytime after that in large numbers?

Figures on Sky last night showed UK as 2nd most deaths yet when % of population calculated we were 16th.
They also pointed out that other countries may not be as rigid in there calculations.
We are one of the countries that has the highest rates of obesity and population density, both contributing to the death rate.
I am feed up with these deaths being used to bash the government.

No it's not good, but look at the size of the country in comparison to the size of countries like France, Italy, Spain etc (who all have smaller populations than ours). We are an overcrowded country, that is part of the issue.

Shutting down the airports late with no testing plus having a test and trace app that utterly failed and cost more than the Mars mission is what it is and saying otherwise looks stupid.

The richest did get richer, but that's mainly due to the online shopping boom we have seen, increased state aid to companies and reduced wage liabilities.
