Dear god they are woeful.
We all want to be winning trophies especially the biggest ones but they are a prime example that winning the Carabao, FA Cup or EL doesn’t necessarily mean progress as a club.

Winning certain trophies can in a way be a hindrance. It blinds people (fans, pundits and clubs higher ups) to clear problems with managers and teams.
Arteta has done next to nothing to show he's got what it takes to be a success as a manager when it comes to overall tactics, recruitment and motivation. Winning an FA Cup means much of his ineptitude is forgotten...

Most teams have been pretty woeful this season outside of City. Which is why second is closer to 10th, than to 1st.

We've certainly not been woeful. Only lost 4 league games. Room for improvement for sure however I don't see any manager taking this exact group of players to 1dt place. Not without spending big again.

It was mid-table mediocrity from mid-table mediocrity.
No surprises.
Arsenal played themselves into indifference, as did Liverpool. It's just that Jota emphasised how really useful he is.

I'd say United have been inconsistent rather than woeful, both in domestic and European football, but marginally better in Europe, where we've had a deserved away win at PSG, thrashed RB Leipzig and Real Sociedad, and were dealing fairly comfortably with PSG in the home leg until Fred got sent off, but have also had a good 100 minutes of terrible football v Milan and very poor performances against RB Leipzig (second match) and in Istanbul.

Clearly not all clubs can progress every year, if you mean finish higher in the league than the season before.
However an FA cup win is a great consolation imo, so long as you don't get relegated.
Yesterday added Arteta and Tuchel to PE teacher level.

Looks like Pep and Potter are the only Premier League managers who are not just jumped up PE Teachers these days.
