This is a game that we might be expected to win so I won't jinx it by saying so!
City have lost five out of the eight games that Nigel Pearson has took charge of.
They were heavily linked to Chris Hughton last year after the sacking of Lee Johnson. Bristol City is a club with a track record of selling their best players in the January window and still expecting the manager to achieve promotion! So Forest are not the only badly run Championship club!
Pearsons comments after the game:
"It was a poor performance and a careless one too. We gave away soft goals and we didn't compete on a physical level.
"At the moment we have too many players who are not showing enough personal motivation. I'm a believer in protecting the players but I don't think it's necessary today.
"I'm not somebody to dwell on these things, we need to find solutions.
"Today's not good enough, full stop. We've got to make sure that when we take the field next time it's a performance that shows the right amount of character."
So the hair dryer is coming out then.
The 3-1 win over QPR should have acted as a confidence boosting tonic for both the players, manager and also us the long suffering fans.
So another win hopefully, although Aston Gate hasn't been a happy hunting ground for the reds as long as I've lived down here.

Nah...they seem to be so mardy when their team is doing so crap - they only ever come over when they have something to crow about...hence why we haven’t seen the for so long

Good luck.
I thought you had a running bet every season with Igor or one of the lambs on finishing above Derby.

This would have been a good performance and result earlier in the season but felt a bit tame after Monday's return to goalscoring.
Good first half, some great passes from Garner and Krovinovic, but needed that shot from Mighten to go in to start the ball rolling.
A clean sheet away from home is never bad, but I agree with Sutton on Radio Nottingham that we should have taken advantage of City's poor form and injury list and turned our possession into goals.

There you have the big problem Hughton faces in the summer. Those two will be returning to their clubs and will need replacing. I cant see Krov having better options to be honest and we should try to make the move permanent But Garner will have plenty of options. I can see someone like Brighton or Soton promisong him games so he would go there. We don't have anyone on the books anywhere near as good to take his place. (that includes Carvalho).
We also need a striker or two which I think should be easier to do. That can be solved with a bit of money.
