Neil Lennon...no class...no dignity...

whining again last night about "not getting as much luck in Europe as other teams seem to".....presumably uppermost in his mind is that well-known anti-catholic conspiracy perpetrated by Turkish referees???!!!.....or is it that equally well-known anti-catholic bias amongst UEFA officials, the majority of whom are catholic???!!!

He is beginning to sound more like the spoilt wee kid in the playground that howls "it's just not fair" when anything goes against him. Blaming the ref. 100% for Celtic not getting the all 3 points conveniently ignores the fact that for the entire 90+ minutes of open play Celtic could not score against an Udinese side with only 4 recognised first-picks from their usual starting 11.
It deflects attention from any poor tactical choices he made, any poor team selection he made, any poor play by his side, any ineffective substitutions he may have made etc etc

If his side could have scored twice at home against Udinese reserves then the late - debatable - penalty would have counted for nothing.

If he really wants to find reasons why his team are underperforming in Europe, trailing their rivals in Scotland so early in the season, have finished second three years in a row, in a very poor league, I suggest that he looks closer to home. But if he continues to deflect, and blame anyone but himself, then presumably he can go to bed at night thinking he is the brilliant manager of a fantastic side.

I'm from Mosspark and tbh now I'm out of the city I can't stand this mince.

You couldve mention conspiracy theory without mentioning Catholics and like Ulysses said, he's a Rangers fan. The fact chose to mention Catholics just shows what you really think.

I also assume you wrote the same article when the whole of Scotland was up in arms about the Czech penalty? The Czechs deserved to win that game, Udinese didnt.

Managers will always talk about dodgy decisions, especially late ones that swing the result, so I really dont see what the big deal is here.

But you can be a tongue in cheek bigot all you want but I'm sure any offspring you "raise" will carry on your bigotted traditions.

BUT, why within seconds of me writing this thread on a Rangers board

You mean Scottish Premier Board?

Don't want "us" to read your articles? Don't put Scottish Premier.

At least you don't deny being a bigot but only want to be on "your own" board

Okay, taking away the religious reference, we could refer to "an anti-Scottish" bias?...an "anti-Irish bias"?....an "anti-ginger bias"....but with all the "other sides seem to get more luck than we do" nonsense, Lennon is implying - as CFC have done for decades - that the outcome of matches involving Celtic is not decided by events on the pitch. Lennon is alluding to darker forces at play. We know what CFC think has happened within Scotland for decades, I'm just wondering what Neil Lennon thinks is now working against his side in a European context?

(To genuine believers, I apologise for any offence caused by my reference to religion in my op)

Fair do's

Good to see people apologise for daft comments.

However I still disagree with your point

Well I am a genuine believer Blue, I better be cos this Saturday and next I will spend a total of 6 hours in Chapel discussing whether me and the woman I've been with a 1/3 of my life are ready for marriage. (might just become a Jedi)

I didnt take offense, I just wondered why you even thought to bring religion into a discussion about Lennon talking about referees. It makes no sense to me.

But regardless, how is Lennon mentioning poor or soft decisions means there is a bias? Do you not watch football? Referees are poor across the board and some decisions are baffling, is every manager who ever mentions the ref accusing everyone of being against their side? No, they are talking about things that happened. You just analyse and twist everything Lennon says to suit your own agenda while forgetting the fact that countless managers do the same week in week out.

As my Jedi King would say "The hate is strong is this one"

Professor... no need to apologise. These MOPEs harp on about anti-Catholic conspiracies on a daily basis, but when someone shows them up to be what they are.... myths and fables... they take the huff.

If I am not mistaken,Lennon himself has referred to his religous and political/national background on numerous occasions and some Celtic fans are constantly claiming there is a campaign or atmosphere against Celtic for religous and political reasons.
Are some Celts now saying there is no bias against them from refs, the SFA or Scottish society?Or perhaps some bhoys feel only they can refer to religion or politics, because they know better?
Could someone please explain why Lennon and Celtic went to war against the refs and officials last season by getting in their faces?
Was it not to do with perceived religous and political bias against Celtic?Maybe I was in Lawwell's universe and misunderstood it all.

Religious and political bias??? WTF?

Naw son we complain about SFA/SPL refs' bias for Rangers.

You won't see it as it helps your team.
