Keep Pepe on the left

Pepe or Martinelli on the left from now on no more Willian.

He had a good scoring season with Lille playing from the right. Truth is he's had good games as well in that position and followed it up with garbage games. He's extremely inconsistent and low on confidence.

Nah Tu Meke, just needs to stay on the left for now because confidence is low. Between team drama, Covid disruption, Arteta tactics and a new baby (so crazy missus), Pepe ain't too sure of himself right now

Playing on the left is a comfort zone where the confidence is largely permanent because he's been crackin' on his natural left since he first kicked a ball, doesn't even need to think about it there. What he does when he starts on the right is like what we do when taking the ps out of a mate once we're thrashing them at something and go "Ha hah, I'll give you a chance, I'll play left-handed/footed" You know ya only do it when ya full of brag and confident as hell because ya know your natural side ya can beat 'em like they stole something..

Leave him left for now and leave him in the team, once the confidence is fully there you can play him either side and he'll put on a show that makes you laugh at defenders.

Too much common sense for Arteta. Unfortunately he will be shoved back out onto the right again once certain players are back.

That season about half his goals were pens. I remember everyone being linked with him and checked his goals. About 4 of his 20 were decent. It was unreal but I did think he would at least be half decent for the amount he cost.
