Hugo Lloris

Lloris' best attributes (notably his reflexes and shot-stopping particularly when diving low) are absolutely top-tier exceptional, but his worst attributes (distribution, near-post judgment) are really poor. He's a bit weird like that - most keepers are a bit more rounded, at least a 6/10 in most departments, but Lloris is either 10/10 or 2/10 at the various parts of a keeper's skillset, there's not much in between.

On average, his best features pull him way up above par compared to other Premiership keepers, but his weaknesses stop him from ever being considered in the absolute top bracket, I reckon. There's a reason he's never moved on from Spurs to the real elite clubs, and that's because he doesn't have the rounded skillset the real elite clubs demand nowadays.

Redknapp and Keane can not see past their love for all things Pool and United, De Gea and Allison have made just as many fack ups as Lloris over the years, but you won`t catch those two morons saying that these 2 keepers are not good enough for Varpool or Penited.

Such is the state of the biased punditry on Skyte Sports etc.

When I see football based puns like this on here, a little bit of me dies inside. It reminds me of a total knobhead I worked with who used to consistently say Sol-dud-o instead of Soldado thinking each day he might get the laugh he's always dreamed of getting for it. He didn't. It's not humour. It's the glaring absence of humour. They're not even puns to be fair. Some, like the pun-based threads Automatic For The People starts up, can be clever. I'm not sure what these ones are though. I can only assume they're reserved for the types that series link Mrs Brown's Boys. Gutter humour!

Seriously aren’t you a 50 odd year old man???

Lloris overall has been a quality GK for us and anyone who says differently is stupid.

He has his flaws though like his kicking and front post saves.

That stopped him becoming a world class GK and which probably kept him at Spurs and not a bigger club
