The super league concept isn't a new one. The difference is the amount of American billionaires involved accross Europe, who basically want a closed shop, and turn football into the NFL. The pandemic has pushed this agenda further along.

Whats the pandemic got to do with it

they want the huge cut UEFA takes from the CL is all.

Clubs and therefore their billionaire owners have lost money due to the pandemic

They want a protectionist league, stifling completion with apparently 15 permanent members who will be in it season after season.

It's a seismic proposal, and one that does the sport of football no favours.whatsoever.

TBH i dont understand your attempt to link it to the pandemic at all, but people like to blame Corona for the effects of capitalism and greed so i guess this is the same

Also: You do realise that under the new CL proposals the two highest ranked teams who fail to qualify will be given spots regardless right?

If as.rumoured, there are 15 permanent teams in this super league it is the very definition of a closed.shop.

The new CL proposals are also a farce, but the greedy owners want all the cake, with no risk of ever giving any away. Football is supposed to have risk, reward and above all competition. These rumoured proposals ultimately devalue the football as a competitive sport.

Yeah the new CL proposals are also absurd....nothing wrong with the premier league or the CL as it stands...nothing wrong at all.

TV subs will, because sky will want their cut, ticket prices shouldn't, they will be using this income to hopefully help suppress ticket price rises, as well as guaranteeing another 9 home games a season minimum.
