Also, it takes 14 PL clubs to vote on any movement to be passed I believe. Not a chance are any of the other 14 going to take the side of the big 6, so they'll either stay or be voted out imo.

Why would they devalue their own clubs by voting out the big 6 who bring in the majority of the viewers?

You really think clubs like Everton, West Ham, Leeds, Newcastle and Leicester would care about that if they've got a chance to become the new kings of domestic football? I think you're seriously overestimating your own clubs' importance in all of this. Ask fans of those other clubs, many would wave you off in a heartbeat, believe me.

The ESL 6 only need 1 of those chairman onside and it’s done - go to West Ham’s owners and tell them what the TV pay deal will be without the ESL 6 compared to with the ESL 6 and see which option they choose

Given these 14 wouldnt be allowed admittance into this greedy league no matter what, I would guess they need to look after their own interests, none of which will include existing to make the other 6 richer. The football pyramid would go on with or without the six clubs because it simply has to. Why do you think the PM made a statement about this before it was even confirmed. Whatever needs to happen financially to safeguard the domestic game will be done.

Why allow clubs from the new ESL earn countless millions from that closed competition to also compete in the EPL competition to earn a further £100 million plus.

Take the gravy train of the EPL away then that's not only all the prize money,it's also less TV coverage for sponsors and matchday revenue.

It could hit the big teams as much as those that are left behind.

The ESL 6 could form their own domestic mini league at the weekends where they play each other 4 times, would it get boring = Yes, would millions of fans Worldwide still tune in though = Yes, would that mini league comfortably out earn the remaining 14 league = you bet your life it would.

The fans at the grounds and watching on TV aren't going to get bored watching that.

You don’t need fans at grounds if 10 million people in China are willing to watch. I would wager that by the time Man United meet Liverpool for the 8th time that season, the viewing figures will still be at least 10 times that of what the first meeting between Everton vs Newcastle would be. Your looking at this as a fan rather than a the business enterprise it is going to be, one massively supported club playing another 12 times a season is going to earn more money than 2 globally diddly teams meeting for the first time

At that point if all ESL teams are kicked out of their domestic leagues , I can imagine rather than the ESL replacing the champions League it will replace the domestic leagues and you will have 12-20 teams playing each other 2 or 4 times a season.

I'd much rather see United demoted to the National League, with the Glazers leaving because of that, rather than see United in a closed shop Super League.

If participation isn't secured on the field of play I can't see what sporting merit there is to it.

Indeed it is.

I shouldn't really be surprised about this anyway as United have always tried to maximise the income it can generate. However, I think taking a stand on this would gain them a lot more supporters and goodwill and would do wonders for their 'brand'.

I'm really disappointed.

Exactly, then imagine Sky trying to pick broadcast times for their games that don’t coincide with the ESL. Weve got a real treat coming up for you at 5pm on Tuesday, it’s West Brom vs Crystal Palace.

Without relegation there will be a hell of a lot of meaningless games each year. Even i couldnt watch that.

Ok, football,(observe, football spelt the English way!)might lose out for a while, but it will pick up again when the newly invited teams to the leagues get settled, the so called top six had to start
somewhere so this'll be just a new beginning!..

The super league thing will get boring for anyone that wants to watch the same teams that have a given right to stay in their self made Mansion play each other year in year out!..

Most will start following whatever is made of the new leagues, because of the simple fact people want to experience the atmosphere of live stadiums and be able to afford what is already expensive football where you's are!..

What will it cost for fans if they have enough to be able to follow their clubs around the World let alone Country?..

That's something I don't think to many will play along with for to long!..

They do. The league formate I'd only 6 games long, but ifnyou cannot qualify after 3 games, you still play the remaining 3 games.
