ESL is all about money...

Contrary to what Real Madrid's President said, ESL is never about the quality of the games ...it's all about the revenue the so-called big clubs will generate!

I knew something like this will eventually happen the moments we allowed these greedy capitalists to take over our clubs.

Football clubs are no longer about the community, fans, history, local rivalry, etc. It's now about making more money to fill up the owners' accounts.

These owners don't really care about fans anymore. I think it's only the government that can rescue these clubs from some of these greedy owners by introducing laws or regulations that prohibit 100% ownership.

As an Arsenal fan, our previous shareholders made a big mistake to give the ownership of our club to just one man. ESL will probably be end of the game!

I see everton after not being invited are coming out as heroes and deluding themselves into thinking that they wouldnt have signed on to it if they had the chance

Proper club.

That’s why we are one of the first to speak out. Plus we are flush with Russian oil money while also being a cornerstone in the local community that supported the club at the start. You have to remeber why football clubs were established looking all the way back to Sheffield FC.

City are the only 'oil money' club

most clubs are 'proper' clubs. this moral high ground chit is embarrassing.

im sure that if Tottenham were unable to join this league they would have come out with similar.

The ESL has been on the cards for some time. I recall Wenger predicting it some years ago.

It is 100% about money.

Everton run with dirty lovely Russian money. Moshiri is a billionaire due to Usmanov.

We are his plaything funded through his gifts to Moshiri.

Yet we still drive and support community projects that are key to the city and local area. Paying back what we were given over the years by the people.

teams in the super league do that

i agree though, the owners of these clubs have ultimately let the majority of the fanbases down and only thinking about money, which in Spurs and Arsenal case is not a surprise considering struggles on the pitch and in transfer markets.

its just easy to hold yourselves as saints when youre not found to be part of it

I remember talk about this sort of thing back in the mid 90s. I'm actually surprised it has taken this long.

City and Chelsea should be worshiping Everton and the clubs who formed the open shop that’s the PL.

The jump to a closed shop ESL is against all the PL was formed for.

Of course it’s about money, as is all the other football leagues and organisations. I’m no fan of the formation of the ESL, but have been finding it funny that every other corrupt organisation is up in arms about it, now even got the greedy sleazy Tory government speaking out against it, after countless of their own incidents of corruption, and how they’re more than happy to turn a blind eye to activities of big businesses, but football they have decided to get on their high horse. You’ve also got the same people who battered Corbyn for wanting more fan influence on clubs, now saying what we need is more fan influence in clubs

Like I said I don’t want the greedy billionaires to create the ESL because 100% of the motivation will be to make more money, saying they want to improve the sport and fan experience is just spin. But have enjoyed seeing the other greedy bàštärdÅ› come out and get all annoyed because they’re not in on the greed

Still think its kind of hypocritical of UEFA to be calling this a money grab!! Which one do they want to be the pot or the kettle?
