Arsenal belongs to us, not them

We have all known for a long time that Arsenal's owners don't care for the fans and only wanted success on the pitch for the sake of their financial wellbeing, rather than as their main objective. We've been willing to tolerate rich owners of all our various clubs as long as their interests align with ours - success on the pitch.

However, what is now abundantly clear from their record, if there is ever conflict between the interests of fans and the interests of the ownership, the owners will always come first. Whatever happens with the ESL (personally I think it will be stopped this time), until the current owners of our club are no longer in control, Arsenal does not belong to us, and does not represent us as fans.

And that should motivate us as Arsenal fans, collectively, to stop putting money in the hands of our owners, to stop supporting the club, until they are gone. Until the introduction of the ESL, you could make an argument that the Kroenkes had been trying (albeit ineptly) to get Arsenal to succeed as a football club. But the latest news shows they are only interested in the business. Fine, they can have the business. They can take it on a money-spinning tour of international fans if they want. But we should not go with them. Don't let them have the club or the team. That belongs to us. Arsenal FC is not the stadium, or the changing rooms or the pitch. It's not the brand rights or the logo or the contracts or even the players and manager on their own. Arsenal is the players, the manager and the supporters, acting in harmony.

It is the history, the past achievements, the past disappointments, the away trips and the stories. It's fathers taking their sons and daughters to their first ever football match, it's going to the pub with your mates, it's desperately checking your teletext or more recently your phone to find the result on holiday when you can finally get signal. It's playing football as a kid and dreaming of one day scoring in a cup final or winning the league.

We own that and greedy owners, venture capitalists and investments banks will never be able to buy it. If it takes a new team, starting from the bottom of the football pyramid, to get our club back. Then that is what it must take. Arsenal is the players, manager and supporters together. Victory through harmony. Nothing else can take its place.

Ineptly, is the key word here.

KSE has spent money (that the club generated). However, in the main, have spent it poorly.

They have constantly procrastinated over decision making, again, often making the wrong call when they finally opt for a direction.

They've read ‘self-sustaining’ as ‘hands-off’ and wasted so much money, and time, in doing so it’s almost laughable.

And now, after overseeing a decade of decline, they’re blaming a global event that has negatively affected the majority of businesses across the globe as a reason to break away from most of the football world.

More money will not mean more competence, it will, at best, merely lessen the impact of their wasteful neglect of Arsenal Football Club.

The Kroenke Stain.

Get it out of OUR club.

Noises are that the clubs involved will be banned from all domestic competitions. Their players banned from internationals.

The ESL will become like the Chinese League and the way the U.S was a few years back, some 30 something technically gifted players getting a pension with the numbers made up with 6, 7 or even 8 sub championship quality journeymen.

Wow everyone will be excited to watch that.
