Laporta saying Barca won’t join without the approval of the assembly of members. That is massive if they don’t join. I don’t think it can survive with a club like Barca dropping out, Chelsea and City leaving isn’t as big as that.

Maybe it was a publicity stunt to get UEFA to increase the prize money like they said today to 6-7billion

There is no way this can just be swept under the carpet never to be mentioned again.

There needs to be an FA enquiry and independent regulators bought into football.

I don’t think they’d have gone to the lengths they have just as a publicity stunt.

They’ve just not read the room. They clearly didn’t expect this reaction. There’s never been anything like this before in football.

If it were just a publicity stunt, Angelli and Perez wouldn't have given up their influential positions on the ECA for it. They genuinely though they could get away with this. These owners thought they were bigger than the sport.

Yeah exactly. And there’s the issue with JP Morgan as well. They wouldn’t have put their name to this if there was no intention to follow through on it.
