I am hearing that Nagelsmann to Bayern isn't a done deal yet and that his club, RB Leipzig, want around 30m Euros for him, what would be a world record for a manager.
Unheard of tbh. That is sick!
Nagelsmann is seen as a younger version of Poch who took the club to the top 4 and made them into a mainstayers.
Yet the fee for his services won't be the only money on the table for securing Nagelsmann services. Levy would have to make available some serious dough to even pull this one out of the bag.
Nagelsmann would want his own players who will fit his brand of football.
Is Nagelsmann the answer though? Should Spurs pursue other avenues? Who else?
Sick!

As if Nagelsmann was going to come to Spurs with our fickle fanbase. A few losses and everybody would have been on his back.

The new manager will have to work with a sell to buy policy. There will be very little or nothing of funds available.

I don't expect Spurs to go out and spend loads, but I reckon there will easily be 30-50 million without sales, which is more than a lot of decent clubs overseas have.... but that ties into my point. If Kane asks to leave, all of a sudden a manager could have 100-150 million to spend in the summer, and you then factor that in to your decision and direction the club goes in over the next couple of years.

Who is gonna spend £100m+ on one player this summer? I can't see anyone. Next summer maybe but not this one. Plus Kane will cost £140m minimum.

I'm prepared for us to finish mid-table with a new manager after any upheaval to the squad, but as long as there is some degree of progress going on then I will accept the wait.

Doubt any manager at the top of his game would come to us right now without the prospect of huge funds to improve the team.
Why would they come and damage their reputation.
We want to compete with the likes of City. Chelsea etc but continue to scout and spend poorly.
Huge clear out and revamp of scouting network needed..
We need someone willing to establish a brand of play throughout the entire club and fans should also understand its a project that will take a few years to materialise.

City and PSG would. Real have Mbappe as first choice but if he signs a new deal with PSG and Kane has a decent Euros, I wouldn't be surprised to see them make a move.... they'll be doing a bit of business with outgoings too which may free up some money.
I know the pandemic has hurt clubs financially, but outside of Barca and Juve, I genuinely don't think you'll see too much difference in terms of having money to spend this summer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Both City and PSG might have budgets more than £100m but I doubt they would spend that on a fee for one player alone. Same goes for Chelsea who have a reported budget of £200m this summer.

Real are up to their eyeballs in debt. It would be crazy if they spent that amount but possible if they sold a few players I guess...They are the only club capable if spending more than £100m on one player but this summer in the current climate with all their debt? Only they could get away with it.
