Spurs Rebuild.

We need a new broom to sweep through our squad, many of which have been there a good while and failed to grasp the many chances they have been given, or are simply not good enough.

I think the only one that really goes with our blessing would by Hugo Lloris. He's been a great player for us but now seems the right time for both to try something new.

Then there are those who i think will have some takers and we should be able to sell as long as we are not too greedy:

Doherty, Dier, Winks, Lucas, Lamela, CCV, Jack Clark

These may be harder to shift for a price anything like what we paid for them:

Sanchez, Aurier, Sisokko

End the loan deal/contract for Rose Hart Bale and Vinicius.

Back from loan would be Sessegnon, Gazzaniga Foyth and Skipp.

This leaves a squad:

Keepers:
1.
2. Gazzaniga
3. Whiteman

Full Backs:
4.
5. Tanganga
6. Reguillon
7. Davies

Centre Backs:
8. Toby
9.
10. Rodon
11. Foyth

Centre Mids:
12. PEH
13. NDombele
14. GLC
15. Skipp
16.

Attacking mids:
17. Alli
18.

Wide attackers:
19: Son
20. Bergwijn
21.
22. Sessegnon

Strikers:
23. Kane
24.

So, for me we need 4 players able to come straight into the team - GK, RB, CB and RW.

My choices would be Pope, Max Aarons, Ben White & Saint Maximim

Then we need a FWD, AM, CM and may be another CB (depending on Foyth) to add to the squad.

I would like to see Ings come in but as for the other positions its hard to call.

Remains to be seen who the manager will be, how much say they will have on transfers and, fo course, how tightly Levy will be holding the purse strings. We could realistically take £100m if we got rid of a lot of those players, but this has always been one of Levy's big failures holding us back - getting rid of players at an early stage, hanging out for always more money. But it is hard to off load. These departing players will be stepping down in level in all likelihood.

We know in these pandemic times Levy will not sanction big spending and squad enlargement before the old is shipped out. The new manager might "want a look at them" first. Plus there's the European Champs in June -July so it all points towards a slow off-season which will likely end in last minute chaos and under preparation into 21/22. We really need the new man in ASAP and some decisive action.

Dele had 14 goals and 17 assists in Poch's second to last season and then in his last season he was playing out of position in a shiiite side whilst struggling with injuries

People love to exaggerate over dele
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah I think both sides do. He doesn't have to be starting every week regardless of form like he often did under Poch. Neither should we be forcing him out of the club.

I'm confident that if he plays regularly he can be decent for us. Especially if we get a progressive manager like ten Hag.

Dele barely featured under Mourinhos tenure in 17 months. So how could he have had a respectable season.

Over 20 premier league starts averaging a goal or assist every other game.

When that's your "rubbish season" you're probably a good player to have in the squad

Some fans are completely deluded

Says the one who wants to get ride of half the squad in the summer

Strewth... what planet are you on....

7-8 of our squad players are either lacking ability or desire... or even both...

Please don’t tell me that Aurier, Doherty, Sanchez,Davies, Winks, Sissoko,Dele etc...are good enough to be retained??!!!!

Poch & Jose have lost their jobs because of these clowns ffs!!!

Dele has been a victim of Mourinhoball, his confidence must be shot to bits, people also have short memories.

What Dele is though, is a proven PL performer and has regularly way exceeded by way of output, several others, who seem to get a free ride.

Under the right manager, Dele should rediscover form, I reckon if somebody like Harry Redknapp was managing him, he would be smashing it again. Time will tell what happens, but is not a player we should be looking to sell. Sell the proven dross and keep the proven quality should be the plan moving forward.

unless a large offer came in (it wont) then i would probably keep Dele. He is a bit inconsistent and frustrating BUT he is a player, that when playing at his best, is very different kind of player to anything else we have, and i cannot even think of many players similar to him in general. diversity like that is important in a squad, and while he might not be a regular starter, having him as an option wouldnt be bad. i would be getting rid of several others before him.

his attitude needs to be right though, and he needs to want to play and force his way back into the england setup. its sad to see how his career has progressed.

I wonder if the armed robbery has had an effect on him. Must be hard to get your head in the right place after that.
