A lot of criticism of team selection today. Do understand that and was never confident of Dallas on the right.
Klich added a different dimension in his brief cameo against Man U and can see why he was brought in but he was poor today.
Lot of criticism for Bamford sub but I expected it tbh. We needed players that were able to play in tight spaces and that’s more Rodrigo and Roberts than Bamford. Didn’t work though.
Very very poor comments on Amazon now. Talking about how poor Leeds were. True but do people not realise this is about styles of football and Brighton play in a way that’s perfect against us. That will happen sometimes. They should be analysing why Brighton’s 3-4-3 means they can force us wide and press us against the touch line brilliantly. How we always like to use third man movement to create overlaps and they set up in such a way to block this space etc. But no they just go back to the fact we must be tiring.
Unfortunately we have often found 3-4-3 difficult to play against this season.
We will also find sides that have great defensive shape coupled with an intelligent press really difficult to play against until we have better players on the ball in certain positions.
Not the end of the world and not a sign of poor form. But a style of team we need to improve against.

Maybe some of the pundits are right about us looking tired, We have just taken 5pts off 3 of the best teams in the country/world ? We've come a long way !

Tired my @rse. We are playing one game a week. Some players are not even playing that much. We just weren't up for it, and Marcelo got it wrong. I was screaming for Pablo to come on at half-time, and as for taking Bamford off, don't get me started.

Why do you think Pablo is the answer? Great servant over the years but has looked miles off when he comes on. I think, sadly, like all of us, times has caught up with him.

Always was going to be a tough game because Brighton aren’t that bad. They should have won far more games based on their attacking performances. They just can’t score enough goals.
Without Phillips we looked vulnerable and Dallas is no right winger. I think Klich has knackered himself getting us where we are. Hopefully a good rest over the summer will sort that.
Are they the first team to take six points off us? Not sure.
There’s always one bogey team in the league.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wolves did it too, right? And West Ham.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course! MaybeI blanked them out

tottenham will be the 4th unless we can get something.
i'm not too worried about yesterdays game, sh!t happens. we've sorted the cb problem perfectly and see no reason why we wont do the same with left back and creative mid field.
i would start pablo against spurs, in his last sub appearance he took a little time to grow into the game so maybe a start will help in this regard. after all its only spurs.

Against Brighton we were slow out of the blocks (that's putting it mildly) but we were holding our own. But Alioski's senseless foul put us even further on the back foot. I thought I might have been a bit harsh when I said at the time that the sooner Alioski goes the better but on reflection, he is, in Noel Whelan's recent words, 'a liability'. We'll always love the guy for being an important part of our promotion side, but he's more out of his depth in the Prem than anyone else in our first team. More than any other position, the left back slot has to be filled in the summer window.

People saying Klich isn’t fit but my take is that he must be or he wouldn’t even be in the match day squad.
Bielsa leaves nothing to chance. He has the players stats. He sees them train. He wouldn’t let him near the team if he wasn’t fit.

Was there a touch of 'after the Lord Mayor's Shows' about this one?
MC / MU / Liv at home; who can't get themselves up for those?
BHA, away, in the rain, key players missing. It was a slog. The battle we normally see in spades was missing.
Maybe those huge games before took their toll?
Not acceptable to show a lack of effort; were the heads not right? The bodies? Who knows.
Hopefully Spurs will feel the backlash.

I really doubt it.
The fact that game was so similar to the previous game against Brighton suggests it's more to do with the opposition than our players.
We have a side that over achieves points wise. Has done every single season under Bielsa. And that is obviously down to the way he has coached and organised the team.
But when things don't work we become quite limited. Gary Monk proved this over 2 years in the Championship, Potter & Moyes have done similar at this level.
To challenge improve we will need to add a few more strings to the bow.
But the most common view of fans when any side loses is that the players weren't trying, didn't want it enough, or are have gone from being world beaters to useless. And I would say that it's almost never the case.
