Arsenal fans to disrupt Villareal game

Hats off to the UTD fans today, they've had enough and done what was needed to send a strong message to the owners.

And you can tell they are just getting started!

My question is would you take a similar outcome at the villareal game i.e- the game postponed to a later date due to the strong protests IN and around the stadium if it meant sending a strong message to the owners? Eg
Pitch invasion and blocked team hotel etc..

Surely no bigger game to make a point! Semi final of a european cup with la liga watching

Like us, utd fans are sick of it and come to their ends with the owners and whatevers necessary to get the owners out then so be it!

Any predictions on the size of numbers for a protest on thursday outside the emirates? And can u see a similar pattern as today?

United fans stayed well away from OT when United played Roma at home.

Far bigger impact when you do it for the biggest game in English football

If you think this is the biggest game you need to catch up with the times. Maybe 20+ years ago. Now at best you can call it the biggest game for Liverpool.

But as for the OP, I dont think a pitch invasion is the way to go. Arsenal fans need to show a bit more class. I'd quite like to see a blockade of fans stood silent and arms crossed or holding a Kronke out placard just stood there blocking the entrance for the team coaches. Delay the game for say half an hour then step aside and let them through to play with a delayed kick off.

Whilst there's truth in that for sure, UEFA would have almost certainly kicked United out of the Europa League for it I reckon which will have had a bearing on it. Much easier to do it in a game where any potential punishment isn't really going to harm you.

So cowardly action you say?

If their action got Utd kicked out of the Ropey Leagye then that would be a message to the owners. Not some minor disruption from a postponement that will result in a small fine. Even a 3 point deduction costs Utd nothing

This action was very selective.

I totally agree with you.

So its a good thing to harm the thing you love? What kind of logic is that?

Utter moronic article, we are on the cusp of becoming compeltly irrelevant, Newcastle Leeds with relegations every so often etc yet you want to get us kicked out of last chance to cling on to relevance and getting CL football to make a point that won't make a point.

Other clubs laughing at us thinking you are achieving a higher cause but really just purely affecting arsenal and propelling the other teams ahead of us. As someone sensibly said, united fans aren't as stupid as you and avoided doing it during europa game due to the threat of expulsion.

Missing the point, fans of all the clubs that would have been in the super league were still against it even though they're the ones that would benefit because the idea of a league with no relegation is crap.

Any English clubs fans pulling that kind of protest stunt for a european game will promptly find their club at the very least forfeiting the tie they attempted to disrupt. There's also a good chance that there would be an exclusion from future european competition for the club for a couple of seasons too. In short any club fans planning to do that in europe are just plain thick and cleary too young to remember ALL English clubs being barred from europe for disgusting behaviour in the 80s.

Yes it was a different age and worse behaviour but we live in one namby pamby pssy-whipped world now compared to then and it takes way less to offend/frighten/upset people than it did back then. Nobody has any stomach for the old face of English football these days. The Man U protest was just a glimpse of that old age. IT WON'T BE TOLERATED in european matches so you best believe the response would/will be both swift and harsh.

Besides, after the season we've had, any attempt by Arsenal fans to disrupt this game would be called out as "Sour grapes fans disrupt tie" Nobody will believe the fans chose this game for any other reason than to deliberately try to disrupt Villareal. You wanna pull a stunt like OT in Europe then it has ZERO validity as a protest in a tie you are badly losing already. Being in a winning position and doing it is about the one thing that might see you just punished for that year alone by forfeit. A team that's losing almost HAS to be banned for following years comps, since forfeiting a tie you had effectively lost already, is no punishment at all.

They are only in it for the money so the only way to force any change of owner would be to hit them in their pockets.
Dont buy any merchandise
Boycott matches completely
Protest peacefully but noisily outside the ground during matches
