It comes down to the last.
Of all the crappy teams at the butt-end of the Championship, Rotherham are the least objectionable.
They may be technically poor, but they have an honesty of purpose which is to be envied by those clubs around them, and a manager who commands a lot of affection and respect.
Unlike Derby who have spent the season mired in various fatal delusions, that their owner was a trusted steward of the club as well as a canny operator, that the academy could provide effective replacements for players sold off, that appointing Rooney as manager was a bold and exciting move.
Most enjoyably, It took Derby fans a long time to admit that the Sheik takeover was a scam, and now a second takeover refuses to be satisfactorily completed. Things have not gone well, but anybody who had an ounce of common sense and really cared about the club would have picked up the stink ages ago.
Rooney is now a figure of almost universal contempt. The players are all junkyard material, and the sooner Mel Morris, the author of their decline, left, the better.
The fans have finally realised that Life's a beatch, and then you die.
Or perhaps not. They have one last chance to save themselves next Saturday, when they play the Wendies.
Forest's final match is against Preston, but I'm sure that Forest Supporters' attention will be directed elsewhere.
May 8th, after all, is the anniversary of the day in 1941 when the Luftwaffe launched bombing raids on Nottingham and Derby.
Now, the end is near...?

Nice to see you Strett, good to see these ‘care in the community’ programmes in action. What’s lined up for tomorrow, finger painting or fuzzy felts?

It's the rapier-like wit that sets you apart from the rest, Wicklow.
Never change please.
