That's not really an answer to the question.

United haven't had a billion pounds of free money, they've had to pay out a billion pounds in loans and interest.

I'll ask again in case the last question was too difficult.

We've both spent £1bn over the last 10 years.
Who got the best return on their money when it comes to trophies?

Why let Arsenal and Spurs off completely...?

Whilst those who have been touting this idea around for years and those who more lately jumped on the band wagon deserve some punishment, the whole idea of the CL is to generate income for UEFA and that comes largely either directly from TV coverage or from sponsorship which is only there for the TV audience. Banning them would halve the revenue. Why does anybody think UEFA go to great lengths to make sure the best clubs get an easy ride out of the group stages and others get a second bite of the cherry having finished third in the group? Having the best clubs in the last 16 of the CL and United in the last 32 of the EL ensures ££££££ for UEFA.
Hard to love the CL or UEFA so these 12 clubs making them look the good guys is worth a punishment any day.

the issue is that, despite UEFA bend around backwards 4 the so called big clubs, it wasnt enuff 4 them. they wanted even more.
