Hazard to Real Madrid disaster move

Does anyone's think that Hazard's move to Real Madrid has been the biggest transfer disaster in the history of football ?

I'm struggling to think of another that comes close. He cost Real Madrid about £140 million and in two seasons he's done nothing. Only scored four goals in his entire time there. That's two goals per season on average.

And now after smiling with the Chelsea players the Real fans have all turned on him. It couldn't have gone any worse for him surely.

I haven't. The reaction has been hysterical.

His actions after the Chelsea game were ill-timed (he ought to have waited until he was in the tunnel), but there's nothing unusual about wanting to say hello to old friends and having a chuckle with them.

His injuries have never allowed him to prove what he's capable of. Ten injuries, including two fractures, in little over one and a half seasons is a degree of bad luck that's impossible to legislate for.

Biggest flop of all time for certain. Coutinho has looked good at times for Barca and could see by his loan spell at Bayern he’s still got it. Hazard is just an extremely average footballer now and has been since day 1 at Madrid.

Complete nonsense. Coutinho has been given every chance at Barcelona and wasted them all. Even before his last injury, he'd been relegated to the bench and on occasion even been dropped from the squad entirely.

At Bayern he was never more than a bit-part player - suffice to say that they were more than happy to send him back to Barcelona at the end of the season.

Hazard, by contrast, has always started when fit. He's just been injured so often that he's barely had the opportunity to play himself into form. He was actually playing very well before he got his ankle broken against PSG, which is where his endless injury woes really kicked off.

I remember Robben had the exact same problems at Real - kept getting injured - they called him the glass man because he always broke. He moved to Bayern where he was fantastic for many years.

True. But even Robben's injury trouble was nothing compared to Hazard's.

One could say he has lived up to his hazardous name. name after moving to Spain.
For Chelsea when he turned it on what it was joy he was for us and such terror for the rivals.

It's funny how "dream" moves can sometimes be feted to end up as nightmares. Sometimes it's better to stay in a good situation where everything is sweet than gamble on the so-called greener grass.

I get this feeling too. I am sure he would start performing again back in blue and with 6 stone lost.
