Great news! Finally!
Club has announced fan representation at board level.
The announcement by stating the reaction from fans after ESL debacle:
"We have seen football fans around the world come together to show their strength of feeling regarding the future of the game we all feel so passionately about, with strong views expressed on the proposed establishment of a new European Super League (ESL)."
Then explains the inclusion of fans at board level through an advisory body whose chair person will be on the board as a non-executive member.
"We have all learnt lessons from recent events and have reviewed fan engagement as a priority. As a result we shall be liaising with key stakeholders and establishing a Club Advisory Panel, comprised of elected representatives from the different constituencies of our fanbase, inclusive and reflective of our fans’ diversity. The Chair of this Panel will be appointed annually as a full Non-Executive of the Club Board. We believe this provides for authentic, genuine representation and will ensure fans are at the heart of Club decision-making, something we greatly welcome"
Is this a token gesture to appease or a great move forward for a better relationship between the board and the fans, who are the blood lifeline of the club?

tadium is the game changer in our progress – it will deliver the revenues for investment in the First Team. Be assured, we are absolutely clear that the heartbeat of the Club is success on the pitch and our fans. It’s important to now get behind Ryan and the team as we look to finish the season as strongly as possible and strive to retain a European spot."
Action speaks louder than words. Do something about it then and start investing properly in the first team, starting with this summer. No more excuses.

They would say that though wouldn`t they Don, they continue to mug the fans off and make false statements about investment in the team.
Lewis could easily loan the club £200m this summer to get our shiete in order, especially as FFP has been relaxed, now is the time to push the boat out and build a proper squad. Shame they won`t though.

What is Ndombele trying to say here with a pic of him and Kane with 3 egg timers?
Seems like some sort of cryptic message....

There is substantial evidence that Levy controls the transfer deals, with it would appear very little input from the manager, one prime example is the deal for Bale from Madrid and Reggie
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Substantial evidence......go on then?!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There is zero evidence that Levy controls the transfer deals. Dippy Dave aka The Scenes just made that up.

so King Jose signs Bale and refuses to play him, not suitable for his system, and Doherty ,,,,

This is just set up to appease the fans, they’ll get no say in anything.
It’s like Clegg when he was deputy to Cameron, just there to nod and smile.

It’s a simple equation at the Board meetings and goes like this:
Levy to fans representative, how much have you invested in Tottenham Hotspur Football & Athletic Club? 🤔Answer; Errrrr nothing.
Levy, well I have personally invested at least £200million. 😳
Can you sit in the corner over there and just observe!🥴
When we need a cup of tea, we will let you know.🤣
Having fans representation on the Board is a waste of time and Board meetings are usually about accountancy, legal matters and other areas like health & safety etc.
The Operations side is normally the purview of the Manager and the Club General Manager or Company Secretary.
I Chair the Board at my golf club and the General Manager reports into me, however he has got far greater experience in running a golf club than I do, so I do not micro manage him, just let him get on with things. We have a catch up on Friday afternoons and discuss any issues that may have arisen or might do in the immediate future.
Football clubs are a bit like golf clubs, only with the latter on a smaller scale.
Football clubs like Spurs have 60,000+ fans who automatically know better than the professionals. They then become 60,000 managers and football experts.
Golf clubs (like mine) have 600 members, therefore we also have 600 managers, 600 green keepers and 600 professional golfers, all who know better than the people who actually do the day to day work. As Richard Littlejohn would say, “you couldn’t make it up”🤬

By the way mine is a voluntary elected role for which I get the princely sum of zero!

Scenes...................you are obsessed with Sandy😳
Just so you know Sandy lives in North London, I live in leafy Buckinghamshire in a village just north of Milton Keynes.
Admin has already confirmed that we are two separate people.
Read the posts of both us and you will see our styles are contrastingly different, that is of course if you have the aptitude to do something like, which to be honest I don’t think you do.🤔🙃

Fan involvement will at least add a level of accountability.
If, for example, you had a fan on the board simply in an observing capacity and they discussed the ESL you would expect that fan to air their opinion, reflecting the fans' view. The Board could then not be surprised by a fan backlash like we saw and if having been warned and ignored it then there really would be grounds for fans to complain in the strongest terms.
If these discussions happened when the fan rep was asked to leave, then even more grounds for fans to completely distrust the board and complain.
Whereas now they can state they misread the situation, there would be no excuse for doing so in the future, if the fan rep on the Board is doing their job.
They wont have any power but it removes the Boards excuses and makes their decisions more accountable.
