As we search for a new manager I was wondering, do you think Harry Kane has a say?
I only bring it up because in the NFL there's a growing trend whereby the best players on the team (well, the QB) are having much more input over coaching hires and player acquisitions - Tom Brady being the best recent example.
Let's face it, Levy can hire who he wants but if he wants Harry to stay, he's more than likely going to want him to be excited and gel with the new manager. Like it or not, player power continues to grow, especially as younger managers get hired.
Player power

I reckon it's possible that the captain is made aware before hand of the possible candidate.

I really hope Levy wouldn't actually go and ask Kane who he wants as manager. What a way to run a football club.
That said, I think the OP makes a good point. We're seeing more and more that the players liking the guy in charge can be more important than how experienced or qualified they are as a manager. SAF wouldn't last a season these days.
I guess what I'm saying is, please don't be Southgate.

Are you kidding?
Of course Harry Kane has a say in management of the club. He's THE marquee player of the club.
He puts himself on the team sheet when he isn't really fit.
He'll nix any manager he doesn't like.
Levy and Kane must have some really interesting discussions......
But the most interesting one of all is probably
going on right about now.....
And it is NOT about the new manager!

football.london understands that a number of the Tottenham players have been repeatedly impressed by Graham Potter's Brighton side when they have come up against them and would be open to the 45-year-old being pursued by the club.
