If he learned the offside rule, his goal stats would have improved drastically. He had the pace that he did not need to go early as often as he did!

I still think that one of Wenger's biggest mistakes was sticking with RVP at the expense of Ade. He should have gone the other way on that decision. Ade could play a whole season and that was worth the difference in ability levels due to the talent we had in MF and how we played. We may well have won the title a season or two later had he made that call instead.

Easy to say with hindsight though and Ade was being a complete tool

You say it as if Wenger had a choice to keep ade over RvP. Guy was just an uttercunt.

Yeah and had we kept him that he may well have made his PL and or CL golden boots for him too. Whilst both were making us titles but ho hum, we'll never know because we went with the cripple.

And RVP wasn't? Only difference between the two is that Ade was loudmouth, upfront and public about it. RVP prefers the passive aggressive approach. But his moving to Man Utd shows him to be every bit the Ade was. If he wasn't he'd have gone somewhere else.

It wasn't a straight up choice between adebayor and rvp though. Ade was just being a cuuuunt and had to be sold.

Question is how would this team fare in today’s league?

Think comfortably second place. City would win the title and maybe by a few points but wouldn’t have been as easy for them

Only one in that team that could cover lots of ground was flamini. Think the team would struggle a lot with today super athletes in the prem.

I think that team would play circles around today's super athletes. They moved the ball in ways thst had teams chasing shadows!
