When I started typing out the title of the article, it autofilled for me into a 0-0 draw. I think that pretty much sums up our season.
I'll say right now I didn't watch the game at the weekend as I was away for a much needed night away, and i'm really not sorry to have missed another snorefest where we try not to lose. It has been a mind numbingly boring season with very few moments of any kind of joy whatsoever.
I was going to try to list a few highlights but I'm not sure we've got many. The Aberdeen cup game is one, but much of that is to do with how poor the Dandies are these days. Was there any other game that stood out as a very good performance? I'm struggling hard to think of one.
Lowlights was much, much easier to find. We suffered a few pumpings this season that were difficult to stomach. 4-0 from Killie and 5-1 from St Mirren jump to mind. We whimpered out of both cups. But it was game after game of just boredom that is my lowlight and the season sucked the joy out of football in so many ways.
Thank the lord it's over.
As for next season, who knows. The manager might not even be here next year, and rumours of Tranmere being interested have risen up but we'll wait and see on that one.
If he does stay, then he needs to bring in creative players for the midfield or play the young boys consistently, because the senior players are scheidt. Oddly enough I think his transfer dealings have been ok so far so I trust him with signings, but he needs to give youth a chance.
Regardless, goodbye season 2020/21. You've been horrible and I'll hopefully never have to think about you ever again.

To be fair, you came up and have comfortably stayed in the division without really being in any danger of relegation. As far as 1st season's go that's as good as you'd hope for. Now you are back to being an established team and it's time to build on it.
In my opinion you are where Hibs were when they came up and they have slowly built year on year

Maybe i'm being too harsh in my criticism but it's just been so horrible to watch every week.
I think we've been quite lucky that the standard in the league this season has been extremely poor.

I think when you look at the table, you've had a decent season. As CS says, as long as it's used to build on then that's fine.

It's a difficult one isn't it. There are many strong reasons for saying I want them up - the derby, the atmosphere, the excitement in the build up, beating them, getting rid of another plastic pitch.
But football is all about being petty and vindictive so I'll enjoy it when they bottle it.

If anything sums our season up it's two statistics:
3rd highest number of clean sheets in the league: Benjamin Siegrist.
Lowest scorers in the league: Dundee United.
A total dearth of attacking football this season. Eleven different players scored and only four of those scored more than two. No-one over ten goals.
In the season we went down, we scored 45 goals. This season it was 32.
Depressing stuff and whether this manager has the ability to turn things around is certainly up for debate...
