Potter and Poch watch...

👀

😂😂😂😂😂

posted on 24/5/21

manutd1982 they were only 1 point behind Lyon after 17 league games. It was Poch that cost them the league by losing to Lille. Tuchel dropped 16 points from 17 league games and Poch dropped 16 points from 21 league games but crucially Poch lost to Lille. It was under Poch that Lille overtook them.

Also quite nice that four of the players integral to Lille’s success this season were PSG academy graduates never given a real chance by PSG.

Weren’t PSG third when Tuchel was sacked? Not that Poch isn’t at fault partially but this was more Tuchel’s fault. Both quality managers.

I’d be interested to see what Potter could do with more cash, he seems to make some good signings and would do with a striker who can finish. Arsenal or Spurs should probably look to him as an option.

They were 1pt behind Lille when Tuchel was sacked I think. They finished with the same gap to them.

Poch is a nice guy but he's a proven loser. He will never wrestle a title away from Pep or Klopp. Maybe Ole won't either but why do we want to swap Ole for another guy who isn't going to do it either.

Personally think he's an over rated coach. Spurs didn't play incredible football under him contrary to popular belief. They just weren't as dull as they have been under Jose.

Yeah they were 1 point behind both Lille and Lyon but with 21 games to go they should have won it:

Poch side losing at home to Lille was the big loss that cost them it.

Poch when they could win the league had his side concede 10 shots on target to Rennes. They fluked it against Bayern Munich when they deserved to go out although in home game they did create a few good chances but in the away game they deserved to lose by 3 goals but won.

Yeh, he is overhyped somewhat. He did well getting Spurs to the CL final. but when you look at their run in the competition, it was sooo flukey.

I wouldn’t say he’s a proven loser. What he achieved with Spurs was really impressive and justified why such a big club like PSG went for him, just look at the mess Spurs are in now. While he’ll be disappointed with not winning a one horse race this season, I think it’s hard to expect any manager to get a team performing how they want them to when you’ve joined mid season. Like we’ve also seen with Celtic and Juve, winning title after title can only last so long, I’m sure Poch will do better next season.

Still annoyed we didn’t put them out at OT however we’d more than likely not have a trophy opportunity this season if we did. Every cloud.
