There are going to be five rounds; the first three being the group stages, which come thick and fast, every day from Friday 11th June to 23rd June (12 matches per round). The fourth round is the Round of 16 (8 matches), which takes place between 26th and 29th June and the final round of 7 matches involves the quarter finals, semi finals and the final.
Apart from the fun and frustration, we're trialling a slightly modified scoring system, as follows:
Correct result - 3 points (instead of the 1 point we've used all season)
Number of goals scored by each team - 3 apiece, as before). If you get a perfect score - 9 points.
Margin of victory - 2 additional points (instead of just 1). Additionally, where a draw has been predicted but the score is wrong, 2 extra points for predicting a margin of zero. Thus, if you predict 2-0 and it's 3-1 or 4-2, you get 3 for the result and an extra 2 for getting the margin right. With draws, if you've gone for 2-2 and it finishes 1-1 or 3-3, you get 3 for the correct result plus two for predicting a zero margin.
Double points - we've done that for all the City games up to now. We'll keep the concept but you can now pick which match you'd like for the chance of double points. It's entirely up to you. For those of you old enough to remember, it's the same as BBC TVs "It's A Knockout" where you got to play your joker to double up your points. All you'll need to do is to indicate on your prediction submissions which match you are going for. Just add "Double" or "X 2".
If all that proves successful and a majority of you approve, we will utilise that format for next season's OTW LCFC Prediction League.
BONUSES:
The usual bonuses for the top five scores in each round will apply; top 25, 2nd 15, 3rd 10, 4th 6 and 5th 3.
Predict each of the group winners - 25 points for each one correct
Predict Golden Boot winner - 25 points
All of these need to be submitted before the first match kicks off.
Winner of the Euros - 50 points.
If your predicted winner ends up as Runner Up - 25 points.
This needs to be submitted before the Round of 16 starts. I'll remind you prior to Round 4.

Mixed start but early days!
Leading the field on 9 is Ken from Weston, followed by Lone Groover, Kenilworth Fox, True Blue, Appleton, Tottington Kopite and Duck Duo on 6.
Foxello, Alcester Villain and Nuneaton Fox have 3 and the rest of us diddly squat. Particularly galling for Harbury Fox who failed to benefit from his early joker!

A day of real drama in Copenhagen where heroes on the pitch as footballers became heroes in the true sense of the word; none more so than Simon Kjaer and our very own Kasper.
Update on scores: Foxello makes the most of his joker to get maximum points twice today and leads on 30 points. Lying in second is Bowstring, also with two maximums (but no joker) on 24. Ken in Weston currently third on 21 followed by Lone Groover, YWF, Kenilworth Fox, Appleton, Tottington Kopite and Duck Duo on 18.
