You are daft to take out those maintenance contracts Vidal. I always ask how much they cost and then save that amount of money. If it goes wrong straight away then you are covered and by the the end of the customer protection period you will have enough saves to pay for any repairs and as you point out after 10 years enough to buy a new one so only one person to blame for that decision.

I sympathise with Terry, it's the same at my dentist who stopped folk going but takes money every month. And Sky takes the money when my box wasn't working.

It's a bloody rip off and I blame Jeremy Corbyn's brother and Dominic Cummings and Martin Bashir.

Interesting about the Dentist comment. I read somewhere that we (probably) wont get an NHS Dental appointment for 3 years. Putting things in perspective we have a Dentist in Spain who we use when we're there and they have being seeing people as normal over the last year...and it's a far superior experience to the Dental practices I've used in UK.

Interesting about the Dentist comment. I read somewhere that we (probably) wont get an NHS Dental appointment for 3 years. Putting things in perspective we have a Dentist in Spain who we use when we're there and they have being seeing people as normal over the last year...and it's a far superior experience to the Dental practices I've used in UK.

NHS dentistry has been a luxury for years. I used to go to a dentist in Turkey for treatment. Less than half the price, better equipped surgeries and only a few days to wait.

My niece does my dental treatment at cost privately now since I sold the villa.

If you think it's £150 a year then it's really not bad and if it's worth that then it's just more convenient to pay £12.50 every month than £16.67 for 9 months of the year.

I don't consider it a rip off as I see far more games than I would otherwise (unfortunately so last year but that's not RamsPlayer's fault!)

I agree Finland. I've never grumbled about the cost and thought it good value. It was probably my fault for 'assuming' it would stop when the season stopped. Since my original ire at being 'ripped off' I received an email from dcfc saying that actually it's a monthly subscription which you can start / stop whenever you want rather than being stuck in a 12 months contract or whatever. So, on reflection, depending on what happens with supporters being allowed into grounds etc I'll probably renew when the season starts. Fact is though there's absolutely no benefit of paying £12.50 a month during the close season....unless as Spart says I want to chip in for Keogh's wages.....

Interesting. I'm sure you're correct about them putting it up if you were to cancel. Once supporters are allowed in to grounds ....which I guess could be when the season starts - they clearly will want as many in the grounds as possible....so I'd expect the streaming may well go up again. But I agree if you're getting the streaming at £10 per month its clearly a bargain - unless they increase it of course.
More pressing thoughts at the moment....like will Mel be able to sell the club, will we get any investment that'll stay withing FFP rules, Will we face any sanctions from the EFL, will Rooney be able to strenghten a team that clearly is/was not good enough, will Rooney actually turn out to be a good/poor Manager and finally... will we face another season of agony as we did last season. No signs of any off those things changing at the moment....

All football clubs are in a precarious financial position. Just reading that Inter Milan after winning Serie A last season, will have to reduce their wage bill by 20%. I wouldn't be surprised to see many clubs go bankrupt next season.

I think you're absolutely right. It's not just Derby that have financial problems....it's just that our problems everyone seems to get great pleasure in hightlighting. It's simple economics. Football has for far to long been living in a spend spend spend spiral. Unfortunately you have to spend to keep up - but in many cases that spending leads to the overspending of chasing the dream. As I've said many times if you aren't in the premier league - or have parachute payments you're going to struggle. The EFL could well find themselves presiding over many bankruptcies. Not that they care of course....
