JA606 Euro 2020 Prediction League

Now that the season is finished apart from a few clubs playing in finals, I will be running the Euro 2020 Prediction League.

The rules will be as followed:

1. There will be 3 rounds of games to predict in the group stage. Each round you will predict the scores of each game.

2. In the first 3 rounds of fixtures and also the Last 16 you will have a Joker to use for 1 game per round. This will double your points for that chosen game. From the quarter finals the Joker element will not be used.

3. Unlike in my Arsenal Prediction League, you will be allowed to predict if a game finishes after extra time or on pens.

- If you think it will finish after extra time then the game should be predicted like this: England 2-1 Germany (AET). If the game finishes in normal time then your prediction would be considered incorrect.

- If you think a game will be won on penalties then your prediction should be predicted like this: England 1-1 Germany (England win on Pens). You don’t have to predict how the penalty shootout goes, if it’s won on pens you will get the correct score points.

4. No first goal scorer predictions in this league

5. All predictions for each round must be made before the first game kicks off. So when Turkey vs Italy kicks off at 8pm on Friday 11th June then you can no longer predict the first round of fixtures.

6. I will give you as much notice to predict as possible. The second round of fixtures will open as soon as the first round closes.

The points allocation shall be:

Correct Score: 3 points
Correct Result: 1 point

The first thing we shall be predicting though is as follows:

1. Winner of the Tournament: (3 points for correct prediction)
2. Top Scorer of the Tournament: (3 points for correct prediction)
3. The 4 Semi Finalists (3 point for correct prediction. All 4 teams must be correct to get the 3 points)

Please make your predictions for this by 8pm on Friday 11th June.

A separate article will be created for the first round of fixtures a week before the first fixture.

Of course if people think I should make a few rule changes then I am open for suggestions.
