Good hi,
I got my hands on the UEFA documents which outlined the plans and negotiations with the ESL breakaway clubs and how UEFA went about stopping it from happening.
Obviously the ESL clubs had a lot of demands to stop it from happening, which is to be expected, but I just thought I'd share them in case people were wondering about specific details.
First, teams that did not hold much power at the time due to their position in their respective leagues and European competitions:
Liverpool: Will withdraw ESL membership if guaranteed CL football for next season.
AC Milan: Will withdraw ESL membership if guaranteed CL football for next season.
Juventus: Will withdraw ESL membership if guaranteed CL football for next season. Coppa Italia also required or Ronaldo will cry.
Man Utd: Will withdraw ESL membership if guaranteed CL football for next season. Also guarantee Europa League trophy this season.
Tottenham: Will withdraw ESL membership if Mourinho is removed from the club immediately.
Arsenal: My legs hurt
The teams that held the most bargaining chips were City and Chelsea as they are rich:
Chelsea: Will withdraw ESL membership if guaranteed CL football for next season (Use FA Cup as bargaining chip with Leicester) Also guaranteed CL final place this season.
Man City: Will withdraw ESL membership if guaranteed PL title. Also guaranteed CL final place this season.
Spanish clubs are broke and were already qualifying for the CL.
What is quite interesting though is that neither of City or Chelsea managed to get secure the CL trophy as part of their conditions, mainly because they are so evenly matched financially. This is what makes this season's final so exciting, as it could go right to the wire with the winner not decided until just before kick off.
It was an exciting end to the season seeing how UEFA would pull off each of the conditions.
Anyway, here's a graph showing the correlation between money and money:

Good bye.

More weasel words. Dressing up their desire to make more money by pretending it's to save football. I'd love all three of them to go bust.
