Scott a lot of there penalties were really poor. De Gea just made it look great. They did score some great penalties. Scholes got it wrong 12 points behind Man City.

I am glad it wasn't the CL final at least as it would have been hard to take losing it when you are the better team even if it lacks quality.

I think he was the worst tonight. Needs a good rest. Gutted that he will be going to the Euros.

He really struggled. I watched one of his goals for England in the qualifiers today and it looked effortless, drove in from the left, change of pace, quick feet , left his marker for dead and lashed it across the keeper into the net. Tonight, apart from once he just ran straight at the full back.

You're right, he needs a complete break this summer.

Yep agreed. Shout out to Scott though, MOTM by a distance. There needs to be a serious inquest during the summer.

A lot of there penalties were down the middle or saveable but De Gea either went too early or went then stopped. If he went like there goalkeeper did with conviction when they striked the ball he would have saved a few of them. I didn’t watch it back but I was observing it and when De Gea was in goal it looked like an open goal while there keeper made it so hard for our players. They knew we had to be near perfect to score. So many times he nearly saved ours but just enough accuracy got us. De Gea got a hand to one of them but due to De Gea not fully commiting like there keeper he didn’t save it.

If Peter or Edwin were in goal they would have made a save easily from those penalties.

He’s always been awful at pens, he just never commits to going in a direction. Can’t believe no one was telling him to just dive one way rather than half heartedly trying to read the pen taker.
