Ref let them time waste from the first minute. He also let them slow down the game at will. We are a streaky team that need to build up momentum and tempo. Their game plan was to make it scrappy and stop start as possible. Ref let them execute their game plan without any repercussions.
Ref is not the reason we lost, far from it. But his refereeing method helped them more than us

Unbelievable. Ref had a really good game. Let the game flow and got all the big decisions right. I wanted United to win because they're British but they just didn't turn up.

What was his name. I recognised the baby faced incompetent from previous games, he was very poor in those as well.
Not to put too fine a point on it he let the Spaniards get away with a lot of simulation, Bailey card a prime example.
