Is it just me feeling less emotional after Saturday's triumph against City compared to Munich's incredible run.
Still having goosebumps watching Didier's penalty over what we did on Saturday.
Also noticed our present squad didn't really celebrate as much as I expected.
Bosingwa, Luiz, Ivanovic, Lampard, Kalou and others all went nuts. 😀😀

You should milk it for all its worth - your next CL wins will be in the years 2102 and 2201 respectively.

When will be your first? 🙄

2012 was the happy culmination of an eight year story, this one came completely out of nowhere with no build up, so I understand that
A part of me felt deflated after Munich believe it or not. The knowledge we'd achieved the goal also wrote the last chapter in one of the best stories I've ever seen/read/watched to this day. I'd have it end no other way but it was over, that was sad.
This one's just nice. No narrative to speak of really, just beat teams & won a tournament

I think it's just you. Both were unexpected victories, but we have been excellent in the last four rounds of the competition and deserved to win on Saturday.

2012
Was the first, nothing outdoes the first.
A fabulous story about seeking justice over so many reversals, almost a military style victory over all odds, depleted team, red cards , penalties against and a final desperate effort to get over the line after being behind in one of the most dramatic penalty shoot outs that we so sucked at.
At the time it was said this could never be improved on.
2021
Was not just the last match but the pressure of the weeks that preceded it. Nicking the top 4 position after losing a "had to win game". Losing the FA Cup and the rivals saying we missed the best chance of gaining a trophy, that we would end the season empty handed.
Having a wizard at our helm that not only looked like "the man" in his many interviews during the build up who not only instilled confidence in his entire squad but gave us fans a quiet confidence as well, including us all in the bonds of the Chelsea family.
Many of us, not only me, felt that we dared to dream to feel victory was in our grasp. That the force would be with us and we could complete the unthinkable to defeat the league champions and best team in the world three times in a row.
In 2012 it was heaven or the forces of nature that prevailed to ensure our victory.
In 2021 it was a mage with his wand who dictated the outcome.
Two fabulous stories, but entirely different. I'll stick with , the first is the one remembered best. Saturday night was not all hands to the pump, it was a masterclass.
