Yes I know another boring Harry Kane potential transfer article
I’ve just read a report on another site about a potential offer from Man City for Harry involving giving us Raheem Sterling and Jesus with some change too
I’d say throw in Laporte instead of the cash (let’s not be too greedy) and that’s a great deal for us
I don’t want to lose Harry but it’s going to happen sometime so why not get maximum value now rather waiting another year and these sort of deals being off the table or certainly being reduced
We would need to buy a striker (Ings?) but that sort of deal would surely be tempting. I do like Laporte and he would sort out centre back for next season with Rodon (Toby and Tanganga as back up)
Do I think this deal will happen ?
Nope but I’d be for it
Kane swap ?

Yeah that's the problem with the proposed swaps though is to drive the price down. Cant see city offering that

Can't believe they are looking to sign Grealish as well as Kane. Hate them kents. That's a potential £250m outlay.
Aguero has gone for free. Be interesting to see how much cash Pep actually gets and how much they need to raise from player sales. With respect, I cannot see anyone from City dropping down to Villa so assume they get £100m in cash.
That's a Sterling and another. Bar stewards.

Definitely. Jesus would be a meh signing. We'd need someone like Ings to come in and score goals regularly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We could do with both if we are losing Kane tbf. Jesus is a decent player IMO
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Depends how much they value him at I guess. If he's only going to be backup (potentially third choice behind NEW STRIKER and Son) I don't see the point unless he's coming cheap. Like 20m off the price.

He will cost £40m-£50m. They paid £30m for him.

Haha fairplay. I think he would be decent for us. Look how well Iheanacho has played for Leicester in the 2nd half of this season. Jesus has a higher ceiling imo.

Yeah I don't doubt he'd do alright. But to your point, Leicester have Vardy for guaranteed goals.. If we were keeping Kane I'd be all for it. Considering we desperately need defenders 40-50m on a rotation striker seems like madness.

I would only take the money. And that would have to be a world record fee of perhaps £200 million. Spurs hold all the cards
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Soon as spurs do that they risk keeping an unhappy player, whilst his value depreciates. Even if City or roman bite the bullet and paid it, soon as spurs go to spend the money teams will add 20-40 million to the normal fee.
