I think he deserves a lot more respect than he gets generally. I think he's just a really honest guy with a few mental health vulnerabilities. Anything he's ever said about the way the club operates I think is reflective of ever fans' gripes over the last 10 years or so. For a 3-5 year period he was hands down the best LB in the league and we were lucky to have him.

I’m also unsure of this. Does he have the right mentality, or the ability to coach younger players? Not just him but any ex player - there’s an art to coaching and no everyone is cut out for it just because they were a good player. For me we should get the best possible coaches available at every level of the club, rather than making jobs for the boys type appointments. You have to be ruthless, not sentimental, if you want success.

That’s fine and if he is a good coach then all the better - although the proof is in the pudding, ie productivity, rather than being liked. I’m not specifically talking about him as such anyway, more the approach of handing out coaching roles to ex-players as a matter of course.

I have no problems with Danny Rose at all - he called Levy and ENIC out . The club shafted him proper .
Once Walker was sold, he knew like many of us - the direction of where the club was heading - so who can blame him for wanting to join his mate and win trophies and earn more money .

On that last note - the club turned down maybe £50 million for Rose ( if we’re saying Walker and Rose were valued the same at the time ).

So not only did he get shafted - by being denied his move to Man City ( win trophies and earn more money) but Levy didn’t even improve his contract at Tottenham ( kept him on £65k a week ).
Now if you’re saying someone is worth £50 million plus and is not for sale - then you have to give that player - the right wages ( an improved contract) not keep him on £65 k a week - he got shafted proper.

In any walk of life if you know your value , your skill set and are ambitious - why shouldn’t you want better. I have no problems with Danny Rose and I never booed him for the outbursts - he was right - and has been proven right .

Can't agree. He was worth 50m because of his contract length, not just value as a player. Spurs gave him that contract to protect his value. If he wanted to move for more money he could have. He's been in the window for 2 seasons and only an unsuccessful loan to Newcastle to show for it.

He hasn't been utilised by Spurs well at all, but 65k a week for doing nadda isn't shafting someone.

I think we only paid £1 million to get him from Leeds

was a great bit of business and he was brilliant for for us until he picked up that injury

he has had mental health problems and i hope he overcomes them in time

that goal against Arsenal will live with us forever and how i miss the Lane bouncing like it was when that rocket went in

Great player and very humble actually, despite the picture that gets painted.
