Cannot say I am overly excited. International football doesn`t do a lot for me these days. I used to be a big International fan back in the day, and was lucky to have been at Wembley in 1966 for three of England`s games on the way to winning the world cup, Group game versus Uruguay, QF versus Argentina and the Final versus West Germany. Back then I always thought the England team more or less picked itself. Yes, there were changes from game to game, but nothing like the amount of changes the modern England team has, where there seems to be a different XI on the pitch every game. Far, far to many average players currently involved in the England squad.
I shall probably watch the England games, and glance at one or two of the other games as and when, but I don`t think England will do that well, may even struggle to get our of the group. It is laced with danger with Croatia, Czech Republic and Scotland in the same group. Hard to say how any of those games will go.
England have some very decent players at club level, but they don`t seem to really have a team at International Level that excites me. Lots of talent, but as a collective not that impressive. They promise a lot, but deliver not a look, and are involved in some very boring games. They may be surprise me, but I doubt they will get much farther than the quarters or semis at best.
My predictions are:
Winner: France
Golden Boot: Lukaku or Benzama
I just don`t fancy Harry Kane in this tournament for some reason, again he may start banging them in for fun.
Anyway enjoy, I suppose it makes a change from speculation about the new Spurs manager.

Love the Euro's, gotta sweepstake im running and I like to watch a fair few of the matches.

Who did you get? I pulled Belgium. Pretty happy with that but I can't see them winning it.

I ran an 8 man sweepstake, 3 teams each with all guaranteed a top team and 2 B teams for the second prize. I got Spain, Hungary and Netherlands

Can't help being a bit excited about the Euros, same as the World Cup. Nice opportunity to watch a bunch of players I wouldn't normally see, and on free to air TV as well. Lovely.

Don’t care for international friendlies, but Love the Euros and world cups. How can any football fan not? If Boccelli singing Nessum Dorma in the opening ceremony doesn’t send shivers down your spine then nothing will. It certainly beats watching Spurs that’s for sure. Will try and catch most the games.

I thought Boccelli is a little past it now....
not as good as he used to be when Pavarotti discovered him.

I would still sooner watch Spurs Don than an opera singer.
