A Message From Daniel Levy

Interesting video from Levy on the Spurs website, posted a couple of hrs ago.

Talks about the way forward, how the pandemic has hit us hard and the the new DOF.

I feel like it was meant to appease the fans but, basically, he says we will continue to be wary of spending and seems to be preparing us for a very disappointing head coach announcement.

Sad times for us Spurs fans.

20 odd points dropped from winning positions last season, even halving that would have seen Spurs comfortably in the top four, despite having a so called shocking season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
"If Spurs just hadn't dropped so many points, they'd have finished way higher!"

Genius
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He didn't say that though
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No I didn`t. Glad somebody actually can read a sentence correctly.

I've copied what you said, word for word

Even halving the 20pts dropped from winning positions would've seen Spurs in the top four.

Which is about as pointless as saying "If Spurs had won all their matches they'd have finished top."

Levy is completely at fault for the last 18 months. Firstly sacking poch just after he finally backed him in the transfer market. He deserved time to turn it around.

Then by far the biggest mistake was replacing him with that poisionous dinosaur. If we had gotten Naggelsmann in then as apparently other board members wanted we would be in very decent shape now. I'm sure the likes of lo Celso, Ndombele and Reguillon would be key men by now.

18 months without coaching has left the squad in a mess. The only short term solution was Conte plus a significant transfer budget. Imo, Levy is the reason we are in this mess so should have been pushing hard to sanction Conte and fix it.

However, as usual the fans will pay for Levy's incompetence and we'll drift further and further away from the top teams.

Totally lost faith in Levy. Can't stand the sight of the ball c#nt$ mug.

The more I think about it, the more I think it's time to let Kane go. It will allow us to have a rebirth of sorts. Reinvest funds in the rest of the squad a bit more and we will no longer have this toxic "he should leave if he wants to win trophies" line thrown our way constantly.

Paratici will be nothing but Levy's puppet, he will be working within the parameters Levy sets out, and when it all goes wrong Levy can point the finger at him instead of taking all the wrath of the fans himself.

This is one of the reasons why I opposed the idea of a DoF. It gives Levy an escape route or a card to play when things go pete tong. But it's what alot of fans wanted so you cannot blame him for listening to them.

It can work out and his experience in working for a bigger and successful club in Juve will hopefully come in handy.

I agree.
But the question remains...if Kane leaves, who also will leave?
Son for one, I think.
Amybe Ndombele will have thoughts about not staying?
And we need a new back four.
And Lloris wants back to France.
So...could be looking at a whole new squad.
