Hardly inspiring, but will surely be an improvement on Jose.

I would expect him to get Reggie, GLC and Ndombele to start utilising their talent.

Hopefully levy will have nothing to do with the football side of things. If Fonseca and the DoF feel £10m is a good offer for Sanchez or Dier then don't interfere with negotiations.

If the DoF and Fonseca are given a budget of X, receive all funds from sales and Levy leaves them completely alone then things may turn out OK.

The aroma squad is old and suffered with injury problems in the final months, he did well with an ageing squad.

I’m excited by his attacking style, to finally have some enjoyment watching us play will be good, I’m looking forward to this season

Long story short he plays fairly quick, attack minded football and is not a defensive coach, and more recently has favoured a 343.

He speaks fluent English.

He did well with his first couple of clubs, taking Pacos from relegation zone to their first ever CL campaign (they were relegated after he left), and Braga up to top 4 also as well as winning a domestic cup. He had an indifferent spell at Porto, they’d been champs before his arrival but he could only manage top 4 and was sacked. Then went to Shakhtar and performed well - 72% win rate, three consecutive league and cup doubles and their furthest CL run (last 16) beating Peps City on the way. Then got the Roma job where they’ve gone from 3rd, to 5/7 under his tenure, but a lot of evidence suggests he’s been unlucky with the board selling his players, an injury crisis and weak finishing (his team had one of the highest XG in Europe). Wasn’t sacked as such, they just chose not to renew his contract as Jose was available.

Has a poor record against the big teams. Can apparently work on a budget. Once dressed as Zorro for a press conference.

That’s about it. On paper he’s probably on a par with Potter as an appointment. Chosen by our new DoF Paratici so have to say fair enough, let’s see what he can do.

I’d prefer if he was allowed to bring in his own coaching team, rather than having King, Mason et al forced on him. Smacks of the Freund, Ferdinand, Ramsey days before Poch cleared them all out.

His record with smaller clubs is fantastic, and he did a good job with Shakthar, but his form whenever he's taken the step up has been poor, and he's struggled to cope with the strain of the bigger jobs. Not bad football, though, but a lot will depend on the quality of attacker you go into next season with.
