First of all I'd just like to say Rodwell's challenge was never a red card. He got the ball clearly and probably didn't even deserve a yellow.
But that's all history. From then on it was always going to be one way traffic! We controlled the ball from that sending off to the final whistle. Lucas was outstanding in the centre of midfield making tackles after tackles. Getting back to help Kelly and the defence.
Adam played brilliant! I thought that thunderbolt of a shot was heading for the top corner as soon as it left his left peg. Suarez was magical as he is every game! Influencing the play forward from the midfield. Suarez knows his where about's as seen when he won Liverpool that penalty, so clever just shielding and turning around the ball to draw the challenge. His goal was well deserved, he never gave up on the ball and its a nice neat finish.
And even though Kuyt missed that penalty. What a shift he put in today! He is Mr.Derby man! He always gives his all and performed brilliantly, linking up with Suarez and getting back to help the defence. What a player top man!
But the thing that everyone seems to forget is how the game changed when Gerrard and Bellamy came on. We looked much better with them on. Bellamy used his pace a few times down the left flank and Gerrard was all over the pitch once he was on and I have no doubt he's going to provide Andy Carroll some tasty crosses for him to get his head onto!
But my Man of the match - JOSE ENRIQUE. What a bargain of a buy! He's had a blinder of a start to the season. Who said he can't defend? He looked so composed. Great defending. Great going forward and the cross he delivered to Carroll was just brilliant!

Rodwell red card was not a red true, but overall we deserved the win.
After the decisions that have gone against us all season, I think e deserved a bit of luck here!

Anyone else feel that Kelly wasnt great going forward? He was good defensivley though but usually hes great going forward. Just my view.

Adams missing tooth, McCoists bald patch! (U10635)

I thought the same. But he's young and he'll learn. I think he needs to improve his crossing. But having Johnson around him will only benefit him and he'll improve as he grows But he's going to be a top top defender for us for years to come!

Yeah, Kuyt is a MUST for me (and has been for ages) and when you can bring on the quality of Bellamy, Gerrard and Hendo AND have Maxi, Johonson, Flanno and Robinson still to come in you aint doing to bad.
I got to say tho, i thought we played a 6/10 as a team, not fluid yet and still no overall control; why when we have a man adv do we STILL have to lump it??? We didnt need to.
Special mention to Skrtel and the defenders, whenever the ball was crossed in they got it away and we didnt look in any trouble at all. Wasnt that one of Skrtels best games?? his foul count was low and he handled everything and covered well...nice work.

Enrique was your best performer imo, Carroll really came alive after his goal, before that he seemed Everton's 12th (or rather 11th ) man
Thought Adam was poor and Kuyt was running around like a headless chicken all afternoon
