It’s obvious grealish is off and they’re pushing for the best player closest to him which they have no chance of signing.

Style wise*

ESR can be a big part of the future at Arsenal, Villa are wasting their time and frankly showing poor judgment in putting all this effort in to a hopeless quest - Arsenal say they wouldn’t sell him for £75m and I think that is obviously right.

Its unfortunate that rival clubs think they can buy from Arsenal because the manager can't judge a player.

I suppose with you allowing your best keeper to join us last year, its only right we start picking off others. City did exactly the same with you. Your probably the easiest to catch out of the so called 'big 6', so although its not what you guys want, our owners have serious money and ambition.

I don't think we will get him, but it's nice we are starting to get noticed again.

I am not as negative about Arteta as many here but even I thought that letting Martinez go was an idiotic mistake, however, selling ESR to Villa would probably cause an actual riot at the Grove - it’s not going to happen as Arteta wants to live. 🤣

Agree. Martinez instilled a confidence in the back four. Such a commanding keeper. I posted at start of last season that he should not have been sold. Made him the No 1 and let Leno just sulk or wait for any offers (I doubt there would have been any!). Martinez is such a good keeper. Pains me to see him in claret and blue (so to speak). I don't subscribe to this 'Leno better shop stopper' nonsense. All keepers should be shop stoppers by default. Anyway - ESR is part of the Arsenal future and if the signings materialise then perhaps we could challenge for a higher position next season.
