I hope he starts in the final. It's great to see an Arsenal player representing England's best chance for a trophy in 55 years.
He made an assist and overall had a solid performance. Go on Bukayo!

The entire team looked nervous in the first half. Denmark dominated after Pickford started making mistakes and Denmark pushed up on Declan Rice.
Saka was the one who turned it around. As soon as Kane started dropping deep on his side rather than Sterlings'. That allowed Sterling to have more space as Denmark were drawn to the interplay between Kane and Saka. Whats amazing that they still cut through them despite extra defenders.

To end this tedious debate, it's not Saka v Sancho for a starting place, it's Sterling v Sancho. Saka gets swapped out for a creative midfielder like Grealish because Saka is the only winger who can do what a creative midfielder can to the extent he can, including defensively. Sancho and Sterling are the focal points of an attack.

I hope he doesn’t, Sancho is the superior player.

Not in this tournament he isn't. Apparently the footy fates decided that Saka is to shine at the Euros as he has done domestically. As things stand, on form the question of "Who do I start in the final Saka/Sancho" (if that's even actually an issue) is a no brainer. It's Saka all the way because regardless which is the "better" player, this Euros is Saka's time
The stars are aligned as they say. Maybe they'll align for Sancho at WC. England fans have shot themselves in the foot with this notion that whomever is individually better or the bigger name should start. Regardless of form or ability/effect in the system being used. Several top teams have already showed comprehensively that LeagueL/CL stats and status DON'T MEAN SH !T. come the knockout stages of a tournament. Same as the FA Cup...
ALL that matters at this point is whose form's hot and whose form's not and Saka's is SSMOKIN! And that no slight on Sancho at all, it's just that "Funny old game" nature of football thing.

Saka looks great, there's nothing wrong with just getting your head down and running at the other team, it causes disruption and creates openings.
-------------------------
And it's become a rapidly dying art in football too. More and more teams/players are opting to simply pass all the way back and start again safely, rather than risk players running with/off the ball to attack with pace and movement. Artetaball is spreading like a virus and making more and more games boring to watch for a far too big a percentage in the game.
As is it we could well see this upcoming season look more Premier Liga than it looks Premier League.

I would rather win a tournament with players from the championship than get knocked out earlier with only the big names/talents starting
If Saka is worse than Sancho but is better for the English system then Saka has to start lol

Why do people put ‘lol’ on the end of sentences that aren’t funny or (presumably) even intended as a joke.

I tend to put lol when im not making a joke but saying a comment that might trigger others

When Saka has played he has had a good game. He's had a strong tournament when he has played and has looked a threat when he's got the ball.
As it has been for the tournament throughout, if his individual qualities fit the system that Southgate wants to play, he will start.

Saka has been excellent overall and played a big part in several important goals. Was disappointed to see him subbed but should be well rested for the final now and as an Arsenal fan, good to see him not being run into the ground this Summer.

I could see a Grealish or Foden starting ahead of Saka but dont think Sancho would for this game.
Sancho may be a better player but hes behind Saka in Southgates thoughts obviously
