LASER AT KASPER

UEFA are looking at whether to charge England after a laser was pointed in the face of Danish Keeper Kasper Schmeichal before THAT penalty

I think England could have been in more trouble had the silly sausage not saved it - I mean, if he’d dived, totally missed it, then complained, we might have found ourselves in big trouble (there’s actually no evidence it made contact with his eyes anyway)

But it seemed not to affect him at all - he dived, saved it, then passed it straight back to Harry

But saying all that, is it just a bit if fun or a serious misdemeanour?

That's alright then?

Thanks for highlighting my point, as your picture clearing shows, no contact with the eyes
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Eh, any chance yours have been damaged?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
You posted a picture - show my anywhere on it where the laser is actually in Kasper’s eye?

BTW, the cheek, the nose, the forehead or even the face doesn’t equate to the eye

Trust that helps
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It is absolutely in his eye. Now maybe not directly in the iris but I'm not going to debate where the eye begins and ends with a dobber like you. Had it only ever been photographed on his shirt guess what UEFA would have still issued the same fine and you absolutely know why but are choosing to be a complete bell about it but then your MO tells us that anyway. Bye.

How’s it in his eye you thick tw@t

There is no picture or proof that it hit him in the eye - saying otherwise is just pure desperation inventing something that’s not there

Why can’t you debate where the eye starts and ends - is it because if you did state the facts, you have to admit that the laser didn’t actually hit him in the eye at all, and you’re just living in fairytale land

The fact is, anyone taking a laser pen to a football match and using it in that way, needs throwing out the game and banning from attending matches in future

However, trying then to justify your disgust by saying it hit him in the eye and he could have been blinded by it, is just total and typical snowflake nonsense

Tbf whoever probably had 8 pints and decided this was a good idea probably wasn't carefully avoiding his eye with some Mission Impossible precision. If it didn't hit the eye just dumb luck I'd guess

I suppose it’s a bit of dumb luck along with the fact that trying to hit someone in the eye from way over 50 yards with a laser pen is near on impossible

How on earth does anyone state with any certainty as to where the laser hit based on a photograph?

A split second capture of a moment that attempts to summarise someone waving a laser continuously into someone’s face with the sole intention to hit his eyes?

What a joke of an argument.

Come off it, pen lasers don't damage the eye, even if you looked straight into it.

That’s an old wives tale if you actually look at the evidence

I never heard of anyone ever being blinded by having on of those lasers momentarily flashed in their eyes - sure if you were to tie them down and continually point it direct in their eye for a sustained time, then I imagine it could do serious damage, but to momentarily flash it in someone’s eyes for less that .5 of a second, has never blinded anyone

I’m not condoning the actions at all, but it’s more of an issue of cheating/foul play, than it is about causing actual bodily harm

Trust that helps
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, this is a more correct, but it doesn't do "serious" damage either.

"If misused and shone into a person's eyes, even for just a few seconds, the damage can be devastating," she said.

Yes, if he had a military grade laser, his head would have a hole. It all depends on the wattage. But the light that was shone on Schmeichels face, at that distance was a big green blob, hardly a small concentrated point, which means the beam had lost all its power by then.

‘Laser pointers can put out anywhere between 1 and 5 milliwatts of power, which is enough to damage the retina after 10 seconds of exposure.‘

the very same article, one paragraph later...

"However, unregulated laser pointers can be of much stronger power, which means the eye would need to be exposed to the light for much less than 10 seconds to experience permanent damage."

Trust that helps(please read it all next time)

The size of the laser by the time it had reached his face was a big blob. It would have lost all its power. Thats a fact. There is no chance in hell that Schmeichel would have sustained any damage to his eye. The blob of light is bigger than his eye, there is no power left to damage him, it would be same as looking into a bright flashlight.
